I was given this refrigerator as just a loner til my refrigerator came. It's ok, nothing special. I do like that it has an alarm to let you know if you left the frig open. Otherwise nothing special about it.

Despite reservations, I ignored my gut to go with an LG product and buy this. After working for a day or so, the water stopped working on the outside of the fridge. Returned it and bought the original one I had initially wanted to buy. I am glad that it broke quickly so I could return it and swap it out for another model. I like an Electrolux induction oven I recently purchased, but wonder whether it's longevity is going to be a problem too.

I bought this model in March 2011 and have had nothing but problems with it. This model costs $500-800 more than comparable styles in other brands and so I (mistakenly) thought it would be better quality than the rest. Not true. The controller board malfunctioned within 8 months. The ice maker has never worked right - unless you think it's normal to depress the lever and obtain 1 cube every 20 sections. The frozen goods are always covered in frost and don't last very long. After a half-dozen visits from the repairman, he admitted they've had lots of quality problems with them. I have to give them credit on one point, because after the warranty ran out they did authorize one more repair (because we'd called back on the failure from the previous repair within the 1 year period and just never got a service call back) - but I'm not holding my breath that anything will really be fixed. Also, I'd never again chose the in-the-door ice maker on this model because it takes up too much space in an already small interior.
