This is an excellent piece of equipment - beautifully designed and well functioning. It is easy to choose one of the many options available for washing. Clothes come out clean and are spun perfectly.

▶ Electrolux Leaking Electrolux Washer EWFLS70JIW Washer is over 1 year old and has developed a bad water leak from bottom. Repairman replaced detergent drawer and housing which he said was cracked. STILL LEAKING AS BADLY AS EVER! I get to pay for home full of top end Electrolux appliances but worse get to hear wife complain about quality and staying home waiting for repairs. Refrigerator has also required repairs! HELP ELECTROLUX!

We bought this because we needed a machine that opened from the left, but we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality. Much nicer than our LG, and yet both had cost the same.

this is the absolute best washer and dryer! this is the new updated model so don't get it confused with the EWFLS65I cause this one is perfect! the other one was great also but it was a 1st generation and usually 1st generation models of anything have some flaws.. well, not this one. Electrolux did an amazing job with these machines. They also stand behind there products and have the best customer service! they don't even put you on hold forever like some other ones do. if your looking for the best washer and dryer and customer service and the most reliable laundry appliances, then check out these machines. I have been placing reviews everywhere on them cause before i bought my machines, there were no reviews to help me decide since they just came out, so i hope this helps a little. There are way too many options and cycles and things i love to list but i will name a few to help. The size is huge! 5.1 the largest front loader out. The clothes come out almost dry after the spin since the speed goes up to 1,400 RPM you can add more water which i love. Also, the 14 min fast wash is very helpful if you need something washed fast. I also love all the steam options and the fast sanitize is amazing cause its only 1 hour.. they also have a regular sanitize too thats 2 hours. If you want to know exactly the details and features of these bad boys, I would highly recommend looking up the Manual like i did. Just make sure its the manual for this brand new model and not the last Wave Touch cause this one is way, way better! I do not work for Electrolux or even know anyone that does. all this talk here should just go to show you how happy and impressed i am with these machines. Ive never reviewed anything before thats how amazed i am with these machines. well worth the extra money too

Actually this is the best washer & dryer ever...

I have had the top of the line sears products, their service is bad...I've replace the very top of the line LG models (delivered last month) twice!! Pounding and not the best clean, I am a high end customer but do my own laundry and want you to know that, this machine is simply wonderful. I have an UPSTAIRS laundry room and couldn't get a washer that didn't pound on the spin cycle. Well, thanks to Best Buy I was able to return the offensive appliance without hassle, and order the best, Electrolux. I wish there were more reviews to tell me that this is the one that gets clothes the cleanest and most fresh, super dry after spinning, not loud pounding like LG and quite frankly I love the interior light (I can see if there is an item left behind) GREAT SET!

Great cleaning! VERY quiet! Does HUGE loads!

After six months, I can tell you this is the BEST machine EVER! Save up for it and splurge. Seriously, it is THAT good. I am writing because there are only a few helpful reviews of these machines. I switched from an arthritic top-loading Whirlpool that finally gave up after 18 years. This new machine is so quiet (just the faint sound of clothes slopping around) that I can hear the crickets outside, and we can eat dinner without closing the laundry door (table is 8 feet from the machines). It is a bit louder than 30 dB (library whisper) when I am right next to it. There is barely any vibration, so it doesn't shake our 100-year-old house -- my set is on a converted back porch next to the kitchen. I have had absolutely NO problems with the operation of the machine (I also have the matching dryer). I do laundry at least twice a week including sheets, towels and dog things. I normally did six loads at a time, and now I do three to four. You can fit a lot of clothes in these babies! (Be sure to put in extra soap to compensate!) You will have to read the manual and experiment because there are so many settings and options. I normally wash everything but whites in cold water, so be sure to check because some cycles are factory-set at hot. Use the steam wash, it really works for stains -- including those yellow armpit stains in my husband's undershirts! I'm not even TRYING to get rid of those, and they are almost gone. Even the sports socks stained with red infield clay are white, and my old washer never got them that clean -- even with bleach. I still have to pretreat for oil, butter, and blood stains though. The dryer setting that works best for normal loads is "Mixed Loads" because it isn't as hot ("medium" temperature) as some of the others. (The machines use the same settings you chose the last time for that category.) The clothes come out beautifully smooth, and there is no "snapping out" the damp clothes when you transfer them from washer to dryer to get rid of wrinkles. I just toss them all in. If you forget a load in the dryer, there is a "refresh" cycle that fluffs everything up again. And there is about half as much lint in the screen as before. Also, the 15-minute wash is great. It is fascinating to watch the clothes in there (interior light), so BE SURE to teach the men in your family how to do the 15-minute wash in the first week or so, before they lose interest in the new gadget. They will always have their favorite shirt for school/work because they can do it themselves that morning (30-40 mins total)! It's hard to describe the difference in cleanliness, because the clothes always smelled clean before but, in retrospect, they felt heavy or waxy, like when you use too much liquid fabric softener. (I stopped using the stuff years ago, and now I use HE Tide, Shout, oxyclean and liquid bleach depending on the situation). The washer even gets out the Axe products my teen boys use excessively. I bought the set mainly because it is the biggest front-loader, fits a king comforter, can wash the allergies out of dog beds and blankets, and is very quiet. I do not have the pedestals, I just pull up a chair to the machines, which makes the transfer easy. I did that because I like folding on top of the machines. When you finish for the day, you will have to dry the rubber gasket and leave the door ajar overnight. I use a dry washcloth and drape it over the door so it can't be closed accidentally. Be sure to dry ALL THE WAY AROUND the gasket and INSIDE the fold, not just mop up the drops of water in the bottom. It takes 15 seconds. I have had NO smell or mildew problem at all, even though I have occasionally forgotten and closed the door overnight. It's pretty obvious when you do that because the door steams up. Best of all, the machine tells you when it needs a sanitize cycle! The end-of-cycle signal is a nice chime, not the heart-stopping buzz that my old machine had. Buy these machines as soon as you can. (I am not an Electrolux employee BTW and no one paid me to write this). It took me almost a year to work up the nerve (and cash/credit) to buy them because of the price but I am SO glad I did. Good luck!

    Washer does not drain

I have contacted company 3 times to fix issue that on occasion the washer does not drain. I've used front loaders for years (Samsung the best) and have not had this problem. They sent a repair man first from another state (yep!) then sent the right one additional week later, he had an attitude, tore up my wood floors (even after I told him to put protection down) and told me he felt resistance in the tubing but proceeded to write on slip no problems noted. Today, again, washer won't drain. It stops at 5 minutes left, does not do the main, fast spin and then says wash complete. I keep telling cust service it's the computer board and they "wash" their hands of it.. Last time I waited until the next day to check washer and it worked fine. Conclusion: piece of junk equipment, poor customer service and still waiting for the repair to be done at the 3 month marker. If I could do it all over again - it would be a Samsung set - no problems and used everyday!
