One of the best animes I have watched in a long time. Some parts are very brutal and bloody and other parts are kinda cute and funny. This is one anime I will watch over and over again. Definatly a must for any real anime fan.

Elfen Lied can be utterly brutal at times and sometimes crazy cutesy. Elfen Lied is about a girl of a different race that escapes from a facility and gets amnesia with a split personality. Great story and great soundtrack.

If you love bloody anime or just gore in general, this is the series for you! In the first five minutes the female protagonist kills a dozen or so people. But if a copious amount of blood or tough subjects like stepfathers sexually abusing their stepdaughters and similar things, you may cringe.

This series has everything that people who enjoy watching bloody violence and plot points that are a punch to the heart will enjoy. The aforementioned violence might be a turn off for many, other content can also deter viewers pros: Good for shock factor Master piece of a story great animation good acting(especially the female protagonist) memorable characters Cons: only 13 episodes

When I first got into anime, this was the second title I checked out. Instantly the story had me hooked. Something about it set it apart from the other anime shows.
