Been using elevators since the original elgato, had the Og elgato, hd60s , hd60 pro and now 4k pro. The best capture cards easy to install and software is super easy to use. I use this for my dual pc streaming setup and the passthrough is instant and seamless. Audio easy to get working on 2 pc setup also you can’t go wrong with this card

Plays my PS5 & Xbox Series X at the highest quality with all the HDR, VRR and ALLM features with no lag. Paired with OBS studio I can live stream In full 4K 60fps on YouTube. Looks Incredible!

What can you say that hasn’t already been said about this capture card? It’s super awesome!! Make sure you have the pc slots though. It’s powerful and i love the graphics it renders !! Of course monitor not included lol

Elgato's confusing naming made it difficult to figure out that this is a brand new product. The 4K60 MK2 is the previous model. This one doesn't include a low profile bracket and seems to have quality control issues. Passthrough doesn't work on mine and others have reporteded the same issue. I tried multiple HDMI cables. So I'm returning it for a defect. The Elgato 4K Capture Utility is clunky and it's strange that this "capture" program is how you change settings. They should improve the UI and add descriptions of what the different settings do. It's missing one feature that I was hoping to get, but isn't listed in any specs. It doesn't support 24 bit audio, only 16 bit audio. It DOES support both 48khz and 44.1khz audio but I only tried 48khz which is the standard for video. I couldn't get 4k and higher refresh rates to work with the included HDMI cable and an Alienware M16R2 laptop. Only 4k 60Hz showed up with the virtual monitor presented by this device with internal EDID settings. It may work if you plug in a higher Hz monitor to the output port, but passthrough didn't work for me so I couldn't try it.

I got the Elgato 4K Pro 8K60 for my setup, and it’s been great. It was easy to install and started working right away with my PC. I mostly use it for streaming on Twitch, sharing gameplay on Discord, and uploading videos to YouTube. The quality is super clear, and everything runs smooth with no lag or dropped frames. It’s also been really helpful for recording B-roll footage from games. The passthrough works perfectly, so I can play at full quality while recording at the same time. Everything just works the way it should, which makes my life a lot easier. If you're making content and want something reliable, this is a great choice.

I just upgraded to the Elgato 4K Pro, and wow — this thing is a game changer. The picture quality is absolutely beautiful, everything looks crystal clear and super smooth. I’ve been using it with my PS5, and the difference is night and day. No lag, no weird stuttering — just pure, clean gameplay exactly how it should look. Setup was super simple too. I just plugged it in, connected the HDMI cables, and it worked right away. No complicated setup or tech headaches. Within minutes I was recording and streaming in 4K like a pro. What I really love is how smooth and consistent it is. Even during long gaming sessions, it never lags or overheats. The colors look amazing — bright, detailed, and real — and it makes every stream or video feel high-quality without me having to mess with settings. If you want your gameplay to actually look as good as it feels when you’re playing, this is the one to get. It’s fast, easy to use, and makes your setup feel instantly more professional. Elgato really nailed it with this — it’s 100% worth the upgrade.

Practically plug and play. Love that we don't have to use a USB for power but the passthrough doesn't work when the PC is off so for our setup we still need to make compromises but hoping this is a reliable card for streaming.

Everything is good except for the lack of 3.5mm audio jack like the other capture cards.. if you have a console your better off going with one of Elgato’s other options..

This has made my dedicated system for streaming epic this is a must have for people that want a system for Video and Audio capture very low latency with video in fact its so good there is 0 lag in video.

This capture card has a learning curve. I couldn't figure it out at first. Luckily there are a lot of resources on the internet about how to get it working. It took a few days. Figure it out, you'll be glad you did. When people come to my stream they comment about how smooth the gameplay is. I don't have the monitor required to use this card at it's full potential. I do know that this card could handle whatever I could throw at it. Totally worth it if your computer can handle it, you can get past the learning curve.

I recently purchased an LG C4 42" and I needed a capture card that allows the full 4K 120hz VRR signal to go through. I was using the Elgato 4K60 Pro Mk.2 before and I couldn't use the full TV capability due to being HDMI 2.0. Opt of the 4K Pro over the 4K X is mainly due to 4K Pro supporting mult app. I typically record my video in 1080p so not being able to record 4K60 when your playing 4K120 isn't an issue with me. Bought this when it was on sale for $239.

I love the 4K pro! It works as advertised, and if you stream or do any sort of online content creation involving your consoles, I highly recommend getting it. Pair it with an HDMI splitter for multiconsole use.

When set up properly, the Elgato 4k60 is perfect for dual PC streaming or streaming any console to Pc. 10/10

Excellent choice for video output capture. Ensure your motherboard has sufficient PCIe lanes.
