I have a hd60s as well and this works way better and it’s nice not having the extra cables to power it.

The best setup if your sticking with 1080p, you can’t literally build a 300-500 dollar gaming pc (not meant to use for games) and use it to stream your content or record. I recommend one pc or console for your gaming and for this elgato to go into your streaming pc. Less strain, lag and interference when you have them separated. Just a recommendation, some will have beefy pc’s todo it all in one.

If your pc has the specs to run it this card is a great option. Love the quality i can record and stream with and allows me to capture all of my gameplay as a console gamer!

I built my PC so I knew exactly what I was doing, but it still doesn't take much thought. Goes right into one of your pci-e slots and works without any additional setup after you plug in your HDMI cable(s). Only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the software can be problematic to use (so I don't use it and work with OBS instead), and it didn't fit the back of my case properly. There weren't any instructions on what to do if this were to happen. I ended up figuring it out myself after scratching up my card a bit and messing around with a screwdriver, but it fits alright now I guess.

Our setup was simple. Two cameras, two 50' HDMI cables. One was connected to the Elgato HD60 Pro, one was connected to the Startech PEXHDCAP/Micomsoft SC-500N1. The Elgato card would not receive a signal. The other card worked fine. Swapping HDMI cables did nothing. Setting both cameras to output 720p did nothing as well. Switching to a 10' HDMI cable made it work. So for some reason the Elgato card has issues with longer HDMI cables, while my cheap Chinese card and BlackMagic card do not. Additionally the drivers are a bit odd. Broadcast software for example shows two different capture devices for the same card, each having its own strange issues. Be ready to do a bit of troubleshooting.
