They need to make it clearer that you may encounter problems with PS4 audio. The sound settings aren’t easy to mess with for people who aren’t experienced, and you need a special connector cord for most headsets you use on console to get your sound to work properly. Also if you have a PS4 Gold or Platinum headset, as far as I know there is no way to make them work with elgato sound capture.

    Doesn't Achieve it's Intended Purpose

The success that I have had with this item is practically non-existent. I picked it up to have it installed into a gaming PC for capturing video gameplay footage from an external video game console that I then wanted to post to YouTube. After experimenting with the device for several weeks I have only been able to post a handful of "test" videos. As a result, I can't say that it completely failed at it's purpose. The most irritating feature of this item is the perpetual troubleshooting stage that it seems to be locked in. The first problem I encountered was getting the audio configured. The HD 60 Pro comes with three software packages that can be downloaded for it off of the product's website. Of those, is a sound capture package that no matter how I tweaked I could not get to work with my computer settings or their Game Capture HD software. I had echoes while recording commentary that no matter what I did I could not eliminate without turning off commentary completely. The Game Capture HD software looked like a nice package on the surface. I was able to record video just fine but experienced a variety of problems with recording audio in addition to the problems I experienced with recording commentary. This eventually led me to resort to using their 4K Capture Utility instead and I will admit to having more luck with. The echo I experienced in the Game Capture HD software was non-existent and I was able to record commentary effectively is some of the test videos. The 4K Capture Utility was also much more user friendly by comparison to the Game Capture HD software; a feature that I attribute to it having less settings to mess up. That being said, right before I was getting to commit to record a project for YouTube it experienced a critical fail at the last moment which I feel is an accurate summation of the experience as a whole, I feel. What else is there to say about this device? It was expensive, for one, and I then had to pay to actually have it installed in the computer (after it looked like it was easy to do on my own online, nonetheless). I had to purchase two HDMI cables just to run the signal from my video game console to my TV which was an added and unforeseen expense in itself. The tech support that I have received thus far has been less than helpful and one problem only seems to lead to another without any sort of real resolution leading to the product performing in the way that was demonstrated to me. Overall, I feel like I got taken for a ride on this one I would discourage anyone from buying this device in it's current state unless they want a frustrating and expensive tech item with an equally discouraging customer support experience. I would give this item zero stars if I could!

A must have tool for video game console recording or streaming. Being directly plugged into the motherboard means zero latency, more bandwidth and no desk clutter to deal with. Solid build and sleek look make it fit into any gaming PC rig

Definitely a great device for people that are starting up recording gameplay off of anything with an HDMI although the program that comes with it I did not use it seems simple enough I just prefer OBS

Elgato is a good name in gaming recording products. It can do HD in 60 frames a second. I wanted a card that could be installed inside the PC, instead of external.

You don’t need a cam link to livestream with your camera. This is better! I got this to do just that stream fast with my camera. No issues and crisp and clear!!! Works great with my I5-9400 pc 1080 60fps to YouTube upload at 6mbps

good product does what it says only thing holding it back is that you can only passthrough 1080p at 60 and with next gen you might want something that can passthrough higher except the 4k60 pro is a horrible product. choose this one instead it has barely any problems compared to the 4k.

Just installed and then got straight to using it. Had to play with the the order of starting PCs as I am using it to grabbed screen from another computer. But it does work well and does not take up a lot of resources.

Purchased this not knowing it would not downconvert. It has to match current graphic settings from the monitor. So if your monitor id 4k, it will change to 1080p every time you try to use the card. This was a missunderstanding on my part, but if you play in 1080, this will work great.

Great Product, If your gaming on a ultrawide monitor go up to the 4k version, I have to exchange this but for a regular 16:9 aspect ratio this would work out great.

Great Card! Seems to have no issue processing. Very new to digitizing games or any other HDMI input so have to experiment with the settings to get secondary audio for commentary to sync with my lips but it may be a filter issue due to expected latency.
