This is good for small batches, I started making jerky and it does great, the parts are easy to clean, and the unit is quiet and only has one fault. I wish there is a timer built in. But that can be fixed with a Xmas tree timer.

Made our first batch of beef jerky, it was great. Much cheaper than buying it at the store.

I'd had a dehydrator years ago but never really used it to it's full potential. My approach to food has changed and I decided to give it a try again. I'm thrilled with the results! I've been the dehydrating queen for weeks now. Everything from cherries to potatoes and they've all turned out fantastic. I've packed away so much there are only a couple more things I want to try & I'm set for the entire winter. Oh, and beef jerky.. it makes incredible been jerky! And fruit leathers everyone is loving. There are a ton of trays with this which is what I think turned me off the other one I had that came with just 2 trays. I have apple slices to use to string and feed the birds this winter and will be drying orange slices next to add to them. A hint.. if you have a cat that likes to climb your Xmas tree.. hand slices of dried lemons along the bottom of the tree.. they'll avoid it like the plague.

simple to put together and to load with food. we have successfully dried 2 big loads of figs. only warning is to check near the end time, the drying can be completed early and you don't watch things to turn too crispy.

I bought this as a gift for my mom, she really likes it and keep using it for fruit dehydrator, all the dry fruits taste good as snacks. Definitely will recommend to friends!

Well built product and works as expected. Only downfall is you can not adjust temperature or set a timer.

My garden this year has a bumper crop of zucchini! And after running through every recipe known to man, I decided to try making zucchini chips. In comes this food dehydrator. The first thing to mention is that after the first batch, one of the plastic "legs" on one of the drying racks broke off. The other legs on that rack keep it stable, but for it to break so quickly does make me question the build quality. Since then I've used it a number of times and haven't had that issue again, so it may have just been an inherent weakness in that plastic strut. For $35 that's to be expected, I guess. The machine works well, though. With a simple on/off switch there's no guessing as to how long or at what temperature things need to be at. You just plug it in, turn it on, and check things in a day. It's simple and effective. Cleaning is either a breeze or a pain, depending. If things don't stick then it's a simple soap bath to get the extra oil/salt/seasoning off. If things do stick then you're scrubbing each rack to get tiny bits of zucchini off. But, I think that's the nature of the beast for all dehydrators, so I don't blame this one specifically. The drying racks can be stacked on top of each other in a way to create more space, but in practice this doesn't really work. I've tried it, but in moving the racks they often fall back into each other. There's no locking mechanism, so they just sort of float over each other and quickly fall back down if anyone bumps them. But, again, what do you expect for something so cheap. Overall, the machine is great if you're doing small batches of simple produce or fruit. The device says it can be used for meat, but a better equipped dehydrator with temperature and spacing controls would be the better option.

Easy to use and my jerky comes out amazing! You will not be disappointed!

Great for making beef jerky, easy to clean and maintain.

I opened it read the instructions and decided to return. Its a great size but most of what I interested in making takes 24 hours or more. I could make them in my oven faster.

Bought this to make fruit chips. This is the best dehydrates I have owned. The recipes that come with are amazing, plus the beef jerky is better than what I have purchased at the grocery store.
