    I was looking for a cheap mixer for occasional baking. This has 5-speed settings but the lowest speed is too fast. Too much splashing.

    I bought this as a gift for my family. Used it to mix mashed potatoes, then a couple days later for chocolate chip cookies. First use was awesome! Second time, the motor...or something, burned out. Smelled electrical. It wasn't even really thick dough. Will send back to the company for replacement, hoping it was just a defective unit!
