    Quiet, and doesn't take up much room. I happen to like the blue light, but it's kind of a useless extra. Compared to my last electric kettle (Capresso), this one takes a long time to boil, but not so slow that I feel compelled to return it!

    The electric kettle (Elite Platinum EKT-200) lid would not close after 40 days of purchase. BestBuy would not accept return because it's over 15 days, and I was told to contact the manufacturer Maxi-Matic. The response from Maxi-Matic customer service is very slow. It seems they don't really understand what's wrong with their product. I have to shoot a short video clip to explain it. Eventually, what they offer to me was astounding. They offer me a replacement lid kit and I have to DYI. I took a close look of the lid, I cannot find any screws or any part that I can take it apart. I don't understand why they cannot replace the whole kettle?
