unsafe percolater

Only use it 3 times a week. last night while making a pot of coffee I happened to look in the direction of the coffee pot and saw that the red light on it had turned to a purple color, and the base started smoking.

Poor quality percolator

The manual says to use "coarse ground coffee." Most commercial coffee is a fine grind. I did not want to buy a coffee grinder. Best Buy would not let me return the machine.

Makes terrible coffee in about 2 1/2 minutes

Percolator coffee pots normally make coffee with a full body flavor but not a strong bitter taste like the Elite Platinum Pot. I have used the pot twice, wish I could return the pot.

6 years of constant use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasted for 6 years before it started to fail. It still works but it leaks something awful. I would be happier if it lasted longer but thats not bad. Other than the leaking it still work great.

Good for coffee but leaks!

Unfortunately it now started leaking from the button to the base that tripped my GFCI. It's out of 12 months warranty so I have to let this one go. Wish this percolator has better quality that will last longer.

Makes Great Coffee

It takes more time than a regular coffee maker but the difference in taste is worth it. You do get some coffee grounds in the bottom of your cup but it doesn't seem to bug anyone in my house. Good product.

Absolute garbage--DO NOT BUY

The first one I bought leaked, and stopped working in about a month. The replacement leaked even worse, and stopped working in a couple weeks. I can't fathom how a company can successfully sell such a dysfunctioning fail of a product.
