    I found it hard to hold, and was scared top would pop open. Ended up returning it as husband did not like color - seemed more pink than red. Looked beautiful with blue light on...for short time it heated up water.

    Definitely only for use with water. But even for water if you want to rinse it out or clean it you can’t get parts of the unit wet so there’s no way to actually clean it.

    I bought this electric kettle September 2018 cause I like to see boiling water through the glass. It was good for beginning, but stop working just in five months of not really hard using. Don’t buy. Thanks.

    After a year or so the base doesn’t work. And the warranty is only for a year so you may have to buy a new one.
