This was such a different role for Kurt Russell, and he did a fine job. I saw this movie when it first came out it still holds up!

OK...I first saw this back in 79 when it first aired and after watching it again I'm still amazed at Kurt's performance which is top notch. The overall production is great and even though this is not full look at the king of rock and roll it's still very good if not great. The disc looks good in the widescreen ratio which I hear it was shot close to this ratio for overseas markets. Sound is good. If you like Elvis you will like this movie. A bonus on the disc that's not marked on the box is that there is a commentary by an Elvis family member and a singer (forget his name) and its interesting to listen to. Would have loved a Carpenter and Russell commentary since theirs are always fun to listen to but this is a nice addition to the disc anyway. Don't miss a great biopic.

A great 1979 film starring Kurt Russell as Elvis Presley. It's a look back on the somewhat turbulent life of the King of Rock that depicts his struggles with drug addiction and aging. Russell did an amazing job with his portrayal.

This by far is the best portrayal of Elvis ever! The movie Is excellent in every respect! I first saw this movie when it aired on TV the first time.I was surprise, and happy when I saw it on Best Buy web site movie lineup!.. Couldn't get my order in fast enough!..A must see for all Elvis fans!!

This is not what I Expected. I'm a huge fan of John Carpenter, and I knew he worked with Kurt Russel on several films, but I had no idea they worked on an Elvis biopic. I really like this film, and it's very interesting, however keep in mind it's a TV Movie, but is still alot of fun.

We loved this movie based around Elvis' return to Las Vegas in 1969. he movie flashes back to Elvis' childhood and rise to fame

This is by far the best movie tribute to Elvis, and offers a realistic perspective that is rarely seen. It is a must-have for any serious collection of quality films.

I remember this movie when it aired. So much different watching it later. Kurt Russell embodies Elvis. One of his best roles. The storyline still holds up. A must see!

I have honestly never even watched this movie. But as a Carpenter fan I thought it was time to finally check it out!
