hot mess

Great on road trip

Clever but Substandard

It is lightweight, comes with matching headphones, and even a DVD carrying case! I happily purchased it for my four-year old but within 24 hours, he was having problems playing it so assuming this particular one was defective, I returned and exchanged it. The second one did the exact same thing within 48 hours, so we returned that! I was so disappointed that this portable DVD player is only worth its appearance. I can't even say you're getting what you're paying for unless the earphones and carrying case is worth it. I went ahead and paid for a name-brand portable DVD player which cost more than twice the amount (I think we paid $49.99 for this combination but over $100 for the other) and my son has not had any problems with that one. I can't remember the brand but Best Buy sales it. It's heavier, bigger, and it doesn't come with headphones or a carrying case. But it works very well and he's had it a couple of months now. He plays it daily in the car since we commute!
