Though the AC seems to cool as advertised, the downgrade in my rating is due to the condition of the unit when delivered. One of the four plastic caster wheels was cracked. Seeing that it was only attached by two screws, I figured the company could send me a replacement caster and I'd attach it. When I called the customer service number printed on the box and owner's manual, the representative said they no longer service Emerson products. She said the contract with them is no longer valid and they don't have a name or phone number of a new customer service company. Because the unit is fairly heavy, I did not want to lug it into a Best Buy store to return it. Instead I am making do with a 3 legged unit.

It is fairly quiet and it does cool the room. Worth the purchase.

SUPER SUPER quiet in comparison to my two other portables. Cold air is cool. Doesn't blow with much pressure. Cools down living room but on a hot day, only to about 76.

This is the second portable air conditioner I've purchased. The first (about six years ago) was absolutely worthless and I ended up giving it away. I was reluctant to purchase another but my wife convinced me that we needed one for our bedroom. I researched the top models and found Emerson the best quality for the price. We love it. It cools quickly and quietly.

Great AC. Keeps whatever room its in cool. Easy to use.

The Emerson Quiet Kool was a decent price ac that at the time was not sure if it would be a good buy. After getting it put together I quickly realized it was not only a cheap ac compared to overs, but it was able too cool my master bedroom with no issue at all.

Does its job well but theirs a tag inside by the wires that cannot be moved and will occasionally flap when on but I just got unlucky

It was a used product. There was a damaged power cord and some parts were missing.

Works as stayed..very quiet.yet efficient..fan is powererful.

It is good except I got it because it said it was a heater too but it isn't. And I would like if the cool air hit my body but its up to the ceiling. Most air conditioners are anyways, don't know why they are built like that pff

The AC does its job but it was a little too loud. Used towel as a cushion to decrease the noise made by vibrations on hard wood floor.

Lasted one summer. At the end of the summer it quit cooling at all. Compressor went In it. Returning to bestbuy

This unit is going to be returned and exchanged for another one. From day one I know this unit was not right. Makes a rattling and vibrating noise. Screw fell out from bottom of unit so what else is wrong? Geek Squad came on 8/15 and said they don't repair these units so because I took out protection plan I can bring it back so that's what I intend to do. Not happy with this at all.

What a great product. I have a home office in a converted bedroom. The Central Air really didn't work very well cooling that room (due to 2 printers a desktop computer and laptops etc.)..The room is really large as well. This Portable not only cooled the room. it does it very quietly. Especially like the Automatic Air sweep .

So far so good as a cooling fan, I have not needed to use the AC yet It was very easy to set up...I am 77 and was able to install it all by myself.
