I’m super happy with my AC! It’s been warm the past few weeks and the AC gets nice and cold. My apartment is about 700sq feet and it works well to cool the entire place.

Air conditioner came without remote, the flap which controls the direction fell out during delivery and now somewhere inside of the unit. It is quite powerful and cools down the space decently, but it is very loud, you can hear the screeching sound of refrigeration unit rolling inside on high settings. I don't think it is possible to work, watch TV or sleep with this unit on high settings, you will have to wait till the place cools down and lower it down - otherwise it is impossible to be around it for too long.

Works way better than I imagined. It was very easy to self install with one other person. Just removed and replaced old with new. 20 mins and it was up and running. pretty quite over all and very efficient to cool a large living room, kitchen and laundry room.

Quickly cools the front of my house and is quiet. The unit came to the store in a couple of days. I would definitely recommend this unit for purchase. The associate even gave me a price match which was a nice savings.

This is the loudest AC I have ever owned. I can't even hear the TV when its on. So we have had it for 4 months and a few weeks ago it started to make a horrible noise when we turned it on. I came on here to get info to return because I am nervous it will not work next summer and I was told I can't return and exchange it.

Is the name QuietKool supposed to be ironic? It's loud as heck. The lowest fan setting is still pretty loud. Warranty service is nonexistent, despite there being a warranty card. Somehow the customer service line is always busy, and it has you leave a voicemail so they can call you back... Which they don't. I called because my brand new unit smelled like mildew, aka dirty sock syndrome. The front faceplate is not easily removable to clean the coil, otherwise I'd do it myself.
To register for the warranty, you need the unit serial number. They don't tell you where it is. I'm assuming it's on the box, which was recycled weeks ago. Otherwise, it's gotta be on the unit... Which is installed in a sleeve, so I'd have to go pull it out and wreck the included foam insulation in the process.
Despite box being undamaged, the epoxy paint on mine was cracking at one of the corners already, as if the unit had been squished.
Every time you power on the AC, it starts off in "eco mode" by default. Eco mode turns the unit off completely between cooling cycles to maintain a temperature in the room. This would be fine... If the fans weren't so unbelievably loud. You won't be able to sleep nearby without being startled awake, that's for sure.
Not just that, but the temperature fluctuations during eco mode operation are very noticeable, we're talking 7F or so between the unit shutting off and coming back on as the room warms up.
When the compressor kicks on, there is a VERY noticeable current spike at the outlet. I haven't measured it, but i do have an LED reading lamp plugged in to the same outlet, same circuit, and it flickers HARD. The breaker for that circuit is 15A. This is a 10A air conditioner according to specs.
Additionally, somehow EQK has made the first humidifying air conditioner. It's not cold, dry air, as you'd expect from a normal AC. Humidity in my condo went up to 60%. It's only 40% ambient humidity outside.
That said, it cools fine. For nearly $750 after tax, it had better. Anyway, i won't be buying another EQK product again. I'd recommend any other unit over this one, and I'd be returning it if i still had the box and could find another unit that fit my wall sleeve.
