    These are the same pickups David Gilmour uses in his Red Strat (Momentary Lapse of Reason, Delicate Sound of Thunder, Division Bell, Pulse, On an Island). If you are looking to emulate his Black Strat, then these pickups might not be for you. Overall this was a great upgrade for my 2006 Deluxe Player's Strat. The EXG and SPC controls are great and allow me to get a huge variety of sounds in all pickup positions. The SA pickups are silent and have a much higher output than the original stock pickups. Installation was extremely easy, especially after watching the video instructions on EMG's website. I really look forward to exploring all of the tonal possibilities that these pickups have unlocked.
