I really enjoyed this movie. As someone who's been working in law enforcement for most of my adult life, I find the ribbing, constant bickering and unfailing loyalty portrayed in this movie to be the simplest and most accurate portrayal of the relationship between two long-term partners who spend an entire shift working together. They remind me of an old married couple and their realistic relationship makes you like them. Definitely a worthwhile movie to watch. Oh yeah, and Anna Kendrick is super hot!

I generally don't watch movies twice and I had already seen this movie in the theater. But the movie was so good I bought it to watch again. I am horrible at summarizing movie plots so I won't go into its story, as I don't want to ruin it for anyone. I will say it was so moving that the audience in the theater was so engrossed in the story one guy was yelling at one of the characters and the crowd would gasp several times during the movie. A must see for a Jake I Will Butcher His Last Name If I Try To Spell It or Anna Kendrick fan.

I have watched this movie numerous times and had it stored on my dvr until it went bad. I wanted a copy so that I could still see it when I want. If you're looking for a excellent movie with action,love,drama, this is it. Be aware this movie does have some severe language in it and some scenes not suitable for kids, but adults need to see this. It is very close to exactly what goes on in the real life of an officer.

This movie is great for someone who wants a fast paced, humorous, and realistic look into LAPD action. The movie doesn't go too much into the Drug Cartels themselves but show enough to make you realize that they are a threat and what happened in the movie is plausible. It got a lot of little details about police work, drug smuggling and cartel violence right so the creators did their homework. Details are what make movies great and this movie delivers.

This is an "A" rated first run movie that would normally cost $12-15, it is also available on Amazon Prime for $4.00 (rental) and $12.99 (purchase).When you consider that I paid $4.00 to purchase from Best Buy I rate that as extremely excellent value from a big box store. Keep up the good work in that department and you will always have a loyal value conscience customer.

This was a very touching story about two L.A. cops, who became more than partners - they became "brothers"! The story followed them in their young, personal lives; as well as the variety of tragedies to which they responded - sometimes putting their lives in jeapordy. And, sadly, one of those situations required payment of the ultimate sacrifice so that his brother might live! It is one of my favorite movies - and I have a collection in excess of 900!

I absolutely love this movie! I watched it in theater and had seen it on Redbox, but figured I needed this for my collection. I ordered on Bestbuy.com because they didn't have it in store. It was easy and came to my door in 2 days. Also no shipping charges which was nice. I love shopping Bestbuy.com!

I thought the story line was pretty good, and of course the acting was great. I'm getting tired of this jump, hand-held camera filming though. Judging from the previews, I thought it was going to be a regular movie. I thought the ending was decent. Some of the in-between stuff with the "gangsters" could have used more back story. Over all, I'll watch it again.

One of the very few found footage films that I love, the shaky cam is what directors NEED to do with these kinds of films, you sense the intensity, and...you can actually see what happens.

This movie is awesome! It's about 2 cops/friends going through the life as cops pretty much. Besides scenes in their personal life, they run into some violent, crazy and gruesome stuff! Jake Gyllenhaal's character carries a camera with him documenting the character's lives.

I like the way they portrait the real-life scenario of an LAPD officer in a day-to-day scenario. This is one of the movies that fell off my radar and just did a blind buy based on star ratings. I am pleased to say that I am not dissapointed and liked the movie alot.

Incredibly revealing film about two police partners that portrays the positive and life-threatening nature of their work. It is strongest when it deals with their family relationships and how each partner is devoted to the other.

It was a good movie. It left me wanting more. Maybe a better ending would help.

I found this movie in a bin by the check out and I'm glad I made the impulse purchase. A really great movie, interesting plot and excellent acting. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peńa shine!

Still my favorite movie to this day! Starts off kinda "meh" until it starts grabbing your attention, then you're hooked! That ending though... only movie to ever make me cry

The movie has action, comedy, and pain in the live's of everyday police officers. Their emotions bring a better understanding of stress and knowing neighborhoods that harbor gangs, violence and the people who are afraid to talk with police.

Michael Pena (one of my favorite actors) is amazing in this and this is Jake Gyllenhaal best performance since Donnie Darko. They play so well off each other. David Ayer is truly a genius and really puts you through something that is truly unique.

I found this movie to be very refreshing in that it certainly shows the much maligned lives of cops as they really are, just like you and me ! ! ! Good movie to watch to help your outlook to make some correction as needed !

Thought this would be better. Typical cop movie but okay.

This movie takes you for a ride with an ending that is deep. If you like cop movies with characters that act like real people, you'll like this one. It has its moments-but a good movie to have and watch.....
