Generally, this is because I'm a bit of a collector and like to complete sets. While not rare, the Energizer A23 (EN-A23 to us batt-heads) is certainly uncommon, and a great piece to add to your collection if you are in need. This currently sits between a 'EN-AA' that I got out of a four-pack and a 'DUR-AAA' that I found on the ground. GOD! I LOVE BATTERIES!

Still ticking!

I replaced its battery with one of these and it started ticking again immediately. I don't know how they do it, but it sure is amazing.
