Great microphone for the money

It mounted easily to my Canon 6D and started working immediately. It gave the video amazing audio, however be warned that the frequency response on this thing is a little wacky. A LOT of high-end response and very little lows. It had an easier time picking up a bird about 30 years away than it did the person we interviewed 10 feet in front of us. You can do better, but probably not for the price I paid for this thing.

Good but falls short

However the distance is very short for clarity. Once you move more than 10ft it is not clear. The life for the battery is also not good. It lasts a very short time. I had to change the battery twice in a spun of 3 days recording a conference.

Not that good

Never able to get it to work

You Get What You Pay For
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed an external microphone to use with my Canon video, DSLRs and Powershots cameras. Didn't want to order over internet because I needed right now. Seems to be working well with everything so far except the video camera and I ran out of daylight before getting to try it. Seems sensitive in both powered and unpowered mode. Wish that it had a few more instructions regarding mounting devices. Have no idea what one of them is for. So far, so good.

Misleading Packaging
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be aware, the included "Sony adapter" is designed to fit the (extremely uncommon) mini hot shoe mount for Sony handycams, NOT the auto-lock shoe mount on Sony Dells. Nowhere on the package does it make this distinction, and I couldn't find out until I had the thing opened already
