Within minutes of returning home with this unit, I inserted the batteries, placed it on the hot shoe of my Nikon, and took a series of indoor/outdoor photos in preparation for a photo commitment. I'm very pleased with it, and recommend it confidently. It's too soon to say if it will withstand the test of time (I've had a disappointment with a similar unit - another brand - in the past) but it has performed reliably in the four weeks since I purchased it.

I went looking for a flash to use with my Nikon D7100 camera I received as a gift, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. The sales rep in the store pointed me to this flash. The light level is perfect for lower light areas as well as for evening out the light levels in weird light situations. It is serving my purpose very well.

I needed a flash and looked at some professional models that were very high priced. For and amateur, this one works fine.

We purchased the flash to take pictures at our son's wedding. It was an outdoor wedding with the reception in a shelter house. The flash worked perfectly for the inside pictures and provided the light we needed for some awesome pictures.

Used it a few Concerts Sledgehammer and Lillian Axe and it Rocked as hard as they did batteries last and last in it . It can be adjusted any number of ways

This flash does an amazing job! It has bounce adjustment enabling the flash to be manually moved in any angle to adjust the right lighting.

Just as promised a good alternative to the nikon flash. This fits well is light and is an affordable option for anyone considering an entry to mid level flash.

Took pictures of around 100 + kids with the Easter Bunny this Easter using my new Energizer Flash and it worked great. It recharged fast and was always ready for the next shot.

For a 4 AA battery flash, totally potent and can sure spect to bright light even in middle of the night with neat quality.

As other users have noted this delivers just better than the specs and is NOT as rugged as a real Nikon flash, but not as expensive. Does very well for the price and worth trying if you have never used external flash. Read the manual for connection to the camera: install with camera off, turn on flash, then turn on camera. This unit has worked well outside in Ohio winter weather close-up and distance.

The swivel flash makes a world of differance in portrait type photos.

Not many people use external flashes anymore but they do come in handy in many situations where the built-in flash on your DSLR just isn't giving the light spread that's needed.

I was looking for a reasonably priced, standard flash that would eliminate the lens or hood shadow that the built in flash is prone to on my Nikon D3200. The built in flash is also a little weak. This is the perfect, no-frills external flash to perform routine flash duties. The cosmetics are a little rougher than I expected; but I guess that comes with the territory.

Do not buy this product. I repeat DO NOT BUY this product. The product is made of some cheap materials, very lite and flimsey. I had cheap flashes in the past and this is by far the crappiest of them all. No intensity controls and a very weak flash. What takes the cake, you have to wait 4-5 seconds to take a shot with full intensity. If you want a cheap flash that works, get the Nikon 500sb or buy a Metz or Youngnuo.

I bought this flash for my Nikon D5200.. It is pretty good.. It lights up inside pictures well.

I was looking for a flash for my Nikon DSLR, but was strapped for cash. I worked with Chad, and he did a great job of helping me find one that fit what I needed. When it wasn't clear whether my camera would be compatible with the flash or not, Chad did a great job of explaining the return policy and all of the other options I had. The flash works great on my camera model and meets all of my needs.

The flash is cheaply made and is very basic. Only pro is the flash is brighter than the standard camera flash. It worked fine for basic lighting shots.
