    Three month old daughter goes through tons of batteries for swing and other toys these were great through the first few charges but don’t seem to last as long as others

    The only safety feature it has is Timer Shutoff at 16 hrs. The Best Buy summary description is Not Correct: "...LED indicators alert you when they finish charging." The LED Green Light is always on, and never goes out, or change color, when batteries are Fully Charged. The only feature that might help prevent Overcharging is it has a Timer Shutoff at 16 hrs. Also, the owners manual says use for NiMH batteries ONLY (No NiCd).,
