I got a pair of these cb-20s a week ago and had to go return them today, I must say I was kinda disappointed in these speakers , yes they are clear even at high volume, but thats about it , the sounds and vocals don't fill the room up there's no warmth to the sound, they are just bland I guess is what I'm trying to say, if you want a good pair of speakers with better stage imaging and better vocals and crisper highs and the best part less price try the polk audio tsx 220b they are only $300 and sounds way way better.

I have some older Altec speakers that are no longer produced, so I finally gave up on finding parts for them. Read quite a few reviews and these speakers come up alot. Bought them and added a subwoofer, I hardly miss my old 4.5 feet tall towers!

I got the pair for my two rear channel surround sound for a 5.1 setup. I have them setup with the Energy CF-70's for the fronts, CC-10 for the center & ESW-C10 for the bass. This setup is absolutely amazing! I have had many surround setups over the years but what I have put together now takes it to a new level. I recommend any of the models I mentioned but the CB-20's could be used in many applications.

My wife and I have some 40 year old JBL's that still work and work well, we went into Best Buy to look at Bose...the salesperson asked us if we had been in the Magnolia room,,we were very impressed with the Energy speakers and for the cost they actually sound better then the Bose speakers...and these new Energy's are much smaller then our old speakers, welll worth the money

After finding a quality amp/pre amp combo on Craig's List I've been searching for a decent set of mid sized speakers that I could pair up and begin my journey into the world of "audiophilia". Looked the world over, and Energy kept popping up as a brand that kept it's own against many higher end names. Klipsch, B & W, Polk, Thiel, Paradigm, etc. Went to the store. Not going to pretend it was a great CS experience, but once the Magnolia (rep/Manager??) showed up and let me listen to all the speakers in the room, it was hands down the Energy speakers. Had him swap B & W, Polks, and Definitive Technology speakers with the same inputs, and it was easily the sound of the Energy speakers. Just listened to "Thin line between love and hate" from Annie Lennox's "Medusa" and it blistered. Same for U2's "Desert Rose". Every note clear and wonderful. Dollar for dollar, tough to beat. No regrets.

Brought the Speakers as a replacement for my aging KEF 102.2 Reference Speakers. The Energy CB-20 is accurate , warm and displays a very accurate sound stage. I auditioned the CB-10, and found it to be very close to the CB-20. However vocals sound better on the CB-20. Excellent Speaker.

Great sound out of a fairly small package - nice, clear highs without being too bright; decent bass

We were looking to replace a pair of older speakers and these give us good overall performance on a budget.

Not worth the $280 sale price

I received these as a Christmas gift. Upon comparing them to the paradigm atom's that I purchased my son for Christmas we notice a huge difference. The side by side differences were amazing. These typically sell for 380 while the paradigm's were 400 per pair. Even at the sale price of 289 I returned these and purchased the paradigm brand. The energy speakers sounded very muffled in the mid and low ranges, while the highs actually were very irritating.

These speakers provide AWESOME sound quality and do not take up too much space.
