I really like having the extra battery life that this case provides but there are a few downsides that make me question the case itself: 1. The power plug to charge the case is different than the plug for the iPhone which means having to carry both around to charge or may have to pull the case off to charge just the phone. 2. setting the case in the sun for the solar panel to charge the case battery overheats the phone and it shuts down until the phone cools off for use again. 3. charging using the solar panel takes forever. i really don't know how long it takes to charge the case battery using it since i can never leave it in the sun long enough for it to charge. 4. the case probably double the weight of the phone. having double the battery life may out weight this issue so this isn't a really big one for me. 5. the case extends the end of the phone so the headphone plug requires an extension. the extension is provided with the case but it means you have to use it. i have noticed that my headphones with the microphone doesn't work with the extension so i have to use the speaker phone and mic (which isn't always a good thing.) 6. the case makes the phone too big for my wife's pocket. lucky for me i have big pockets in my pants or i wouldn't be able to use it. I'll continue to use the case for awhile to see if it is really worth the extra battery. I'm clicking "yes" for recommending but I wish there was a "maybe" since the jury is still out.

I've owned a few of these battery cases over the years only to use the a couple of days and move on. This one actually works and my phone had been happily living in it a couple of months now. The solar is really a gimmick but does work as described. With this o can actually turn on location services and still use my phone all day. It does get hot while charging the iPhone from the case battery but it's acceptable. The rubbery feel of the case is also nice. The additional thickness took a couple days to get accustomed to but no more than any other case. I haven't dropped my phone so I cannot testify to its ability to protect but it feels like it would do a good job.

This case is a good buy for the money. There are some minor problems but nothing too serious. The solar pannel only works when the light is very bright. It also has a problem with jamming my power button which gets annoying but isn't harmful as of yet. It is also quite large, it nearly doubles the thickness of my iPhone 5s. But I mainly bought it for its charging capabilities which are excellent. It gives me about two phone battery life's.

This is a nice charging case, easy to install on the phone though a bit large in combination. I solved that by purchasing an iPhone 6 case (I use a belt Case) and the combo fits nicely. Light weight, not slippery to handle, another nice feature. If you have an iPhone 5, this is the case for you, the added bonus of solar charging seals the deal on this one!

So far so good, This case has given me the extra charge.. I am usually unable to access a charger during my workday. Phone battery last most of the day, with limited use. Purchased this case hoping it would alleviate some stress on usage, and it has. A full battery charge and then some. I would recommend using a screen protector in conjunction with the case. I am happy so far, and do recommend. Will update as time goes by.

The case is sturdy and easy to insert the iPhone. I intentionally drained the phones battery to see how long the battery in the case lasted and it was very sufficient. I have not tested the solar function very well and it does work, but seems to take a very long time to acquire a charge. I guess the solar function is a last resort, but I didn't purchase it for this feature and really don't think I would use it. With the extra time from the battery in the case it's plenty for my usage. There is one thing I do not like. I always charge my phone at night & have it set for my alarm. Now, In order to do this, I need to remove the phone from the case to charge the phone. In the morning I reload it in the case. It would be great if I did not have to remove it from the case to charge the phone.

The product holds a charge until you need it rather than just charging the phone all the time. A small button press and the case charges the phone battery for almost double the talk time

The battery in the case has good capacity for its weight. The case goes on and off very easy. The solar charger is very slow, but that's to be expected due to its size. I had a problem with it not charging fully before the case would shut off, but enerplex customer service was great. They fixed me right up with no fee.

CASE NOT ONLY PROTECTS PHONE BUT ALSO CHARGES YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU FORGET TO PLUG IN. THE SOLOR IS GREAT AND IS EASY TO USE. WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE.

Provides juice for a full re-charge of my IOS device. As advised, the solar charging will only provide 10% of battery capacity after 4-5 hrs. under the sun and SHOULD be charged WITHOUT the phone. Overall, works as advertised and a great buy for the price.

I purchased this product especially for my Europe trip in May. For I was concerning about the voltage difference from US and also it might not be easy to find an outlet to charge my iPhone while sight-seeing (I used iPhone to take photos). To my surprise, this solar case really performs very well and is designed beautifully, while provides the needed protection for my iPhone. I just love my orange colored case. I also saw this product for sale in British Airway shopping brochure, but their price is more expensive than US.

Lke the case overall. No issues yet but the charging port where the plug goes in seems a bit loose. The case provides another full charge in about 30 minutes so great from the added power standpoint.

Good phone case,attractive and nice color.But the solar charge is not that great.

It's really useful to have the flexibility for a quick charge with out been connected to a wired electrical connection.

Its nice having the extra power supply for those times when it is needed, just wish it used the apple power adapter

I've always had a protective case for my iphone, and the last two also had batteries built in, so the next logical step was to go green! I've saved thousands of dollars over the last several years with the solar panels on my roof, so I knew how well the technology would work.

It worked well with my iphone 5S. It does give it some extra juice.
