These EOTch magnifiers are really great. The 5X is good for mid-range to mid-long range (200 - 600 M) but 3X may be better for short to mid (75-200M). Definitely clear and the mount if good quality (do not necessarily need to upgrade from here). My only gripe would be that it is a bit pricey and other options at half the price would be fine if you don't need the extra optical image quality of edge-to-edge clarity. Could argue that the Vortex is better value for money.
