    Customer Support is Bovine Scat

    Great printer for home use. Bought one checked it out then bought second for wife's office. Only one star because Epson Customer Service is Bovine Scat (look it up). Printer ads and printed warranty book say this printer has 2 year warranty "with registration". Fine. But the install SW prompts for express registration would not accept the serial number (many attempts/variations). OK, so I skipped it. After install, I signed into my Epson account to register, entered the model & SN and all seemed OK. BUT the warrantry expiration shows ONLY ONE YEAR!! So I emailed Epson. Thier reply said call their 800 number to talk. NO OPTION ON THAT NUMBER TO TALK TO ANYONE but tech service. The techies had no idea how to fix a warranty expiration date! Next email to Epson got a reply with a different 800 number to talk, but same thing - no option to talk to rep. Third email to Epson required me to copy and attach my purchase receipts (remember printers already registered - just wrong warranty expiration). Epson, if you are reading this check our your "Incidnet: 221204-000356" ticket.

    I don't like the fact that you cannot print double sided. I don't like the way you load the paper and it is not user friendly.

    I set this up and printed a few pages. I was happy with the quality but then it kept giving me paper jam errors. After getting the support from the geek squad out to my house, he figured out the ribbon cable was slit in two. So when the print cartridge tried to print on the paper the cable would jam the printer. Was very happy with the technician. I returned it to Best Buy with no problems and exchanged easily. I did get a ET-2850 instead and it is working well.

    I have never printed a full document. It always says it is jammed when there is no jam!

    NOT HAPPY!! Everything time I try to use it I get "scanner error" . It is the same issue and same process every time. For NO reason at all.
