Epson have outdone themselves with the EcoTank series and this printer is no exception. As a technology professional who installs and maintains printers I have purchased this one for myself and it is easily among the best printers I have ever owned.
Pros:
The operating cost and reliability are hard to beat. The setup is very straight forward and easy with the caveat that the instructions are not explicit about which bandwidth to connect to. I have mentioned this below. The savings in ink replenishment are amazing as I probably do not expect to refill for the next 12-15 months maybe longer with the amount of printing that I do. Print quality is on par with every other brand available. This printer is an upgrade from its predecessor the ET2800 and comes with a better Wi-Fi card built in for a more stable connection.
Cons:
The printer can be a bit of an enigma during setup as the only thing that is not clearly mentioned is that the printer connects wirelessly via the 2.4ghz network only. If your router is newer and doesn't have the 2.4 and 5 networks broadcasting as separate SSIDs it can be difficult to get the printer to connect. You will have to pause the 5ghz temporarily to enable the printer to make the connection to 2.4 and then re-enable the 5. Once that is done it will work without a hitch.

Once you finally get it set up, it works well. I am not particularly tech savvy and it took good parts of four days to get it up and running. Instructions are minimal except for 2 columns of the 4 which told how to fill the ink tanks. That was the easy part and they spent way too much time there and not enough elsewhere. Watched many videos to finally get the help i needed.

I am an Etsy seller. I am constantly needing to use my printer at the best quality. I have used many printers. For awhile I had an HP officejet printer. HP was a nightmare. So much money wasted on that subscription and ink. Then i would run out of ink quickly just to have to wait 2 weeks to receive my ink for only a few prints out of it. I would always have issues with it that I had to deny a customers purchase because of that printer. This printer removes all of that stress. No subscription mess. Ink last longer and is much cheaper. It is great quality and supports inkjet and speciality paper. Get this printer. And if you have an HP chuck that think in the dumpster.

It took days for me to set up my printer. Once set up it’s great. The instructions could be a lot simpler with visuals for each step.

Supposedly an easy plug and play unit but find out it prints intermittently. Sometimes it needs to be saved in PDF format before it can be printed, and sometimes it is put into queue and won't be printed until sometimes later. Can't figure out what's wrong so have to schedule an in-home service with Geeks Squad (still waiting as my appointment date is 2 weeks away).

The Epson printer that I bought is a nice printer, sort of Bear bones, but that’s OK. However, the view screen on it is so small and so hard to read that it is useless. That creates a real problem at times because I don’t know what the problem is with the printer because I can’t read the view screen. So I regret buying it.

The EcoTank Printers are my go to printer now in both my home and business. I bought the ET-2900 for my daughter in college and easy enough for her to setup on her own.

We graduated to this Epson printer after our old one finally wore out. We love the quality of print of black and white as well as color. The “start print” feature from our phone is a convenience. No need for cartridges is an environmental upgrade!

This Epson was our 2nd choice for printer to go with our new HP Laptop. The HP printer was a failure & we exchanged for this Epson which is so much simpler directions. It not only communicates with our laptop, it prints and scans to the laptop. One small complaint, it only scans 1 page at a time instead of a set of pages. Still way better than HP!
