This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5150 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The Setup: Setup took about 30 minutes. The packaging was impressive. The printer is held together with many little pieces of tape to make sure things do not move. There are foam inserts to further protect the printer. After unboxing, you should have the printer, a power cable, ink cartridges, and an install disk. There is also a quick setup pamphlet to help you get started. I filled the ink reservoirs with the supplied ink. He packages are vacuumed sealed and held tightly together. I plugged in the power chord and proceeded to complete setup. You will have to let the printer complete an initial ink charging process to proceed. This took about 15 minutes to complete. If you do not complete it, you will not be able to continue the setup procedures. I loaded the paper holder and went to download and install the software since my computer does not have a CD/DVD drive. In stalled the printer software and drivers in a matter of 10 minutes and printed out test pages. My Review: Both my wife and I work from home full time. My son who is in high school is participating in full time remote learning. The printer serves as the main printer for the home/office. I love the ability to be able to print from my home office personal computer and work computer which is connected to a VPN. To print from the work computer, I just send an email with attachments to Epson Connect email address that’s registered to the printer. This same printing method applies to my wife’s personal and work computers. It works well for my son’s school and personal computers too. I also love the ability to download the iPad/iPhone app to be able to print from my Apple devices. The print quality is excellent. I have printed hundreds of reference documents for both work and home use. I have also noticed that the print speed is pretty good… 17 black/9.5 color ISO ppm print speed. I also can’t forget about the scanning feature. Using the Epson Scan application makes things easy. The quality and speed of the scans are excellent!

Great qulity printer. Ink reservoir feature is especially a plus. Glad tpbe free from the excessively priced cartridges! Set up was a little less user friendly than I expected, but I received prompt professional support from Epson. Really pleased with the printer

This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5150 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The Epson EcoTank Pro 5150 Wireless Printer is a super printer/scanner/copier that you can easily refill with eco-friendly bottles of ink. This is also a recyclable product so very green-friendly which I love! Before this printer, I have been using an HP Officejet Pro 8025 that has ink cartridges that I get through HP Instant Ink. Totally unreliable service with me running out of ink and them telling me I am not and will not send one. The cartridges also are very expensive as is the toner. The Epson EcoTank takes care of all of this. The EcoTank has a bigger tank which means you can print more and use less ink or add more to it. As far as ink goes you get 2 large bottles of black and 1 of the smaller bottles for the cyan, magenta, and yellow. They fill up the whole tank too and are super easy to fill up. To set it up was fairly easy by going to the URL printed in the included pages (for Windows PCs). The file that is called Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer is the one that helps you in detecting and installing your printer to the wifi network. After a quick reboot, you are all set to go whether it's your computer or your cellphone. You can print from either. Oh, and there is an app for your phone called the Epson Smart Panel app. There is also a full suite of embedded features that protect your data and there is even voice-activated printing! I thought the print quality was exceptional based on my HP which isn't very good for photos. YOu get auto 2 sided printing and the paper tray holds 250 sheets of paper. The printer has a 2.4"inch color touchscreen that is super easy to use. It prints up to 17 black/9.5 colors ISO ppm-print speed with no warmup time which is pretty fast and it costs about 2 cents per color ISO page vs 14 cents with a color laser toner. Big savings over time! I think this printer is great for business environments and will be using mine in my small business and taking the HP to the house where I don't print as much. There is a 2-year limited warranty on this product when you register it although the PrecisionCore permanent printhead is supposed to last the life of the printer. It is also ENERGY STAR qualified to so will also save you some money there. I really admire Epson for all their green initiatives from being ENERGY STAR qualified, to having this be a recyclable product and being a partner in SmartWay Transport which helps companies plan to reduce freight emissions. The quality of their products and these initiatives make them a company that I am happy to recommend.

This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5150 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This printer was very easy to set up from the beginning. It took maybe fifteen minutes to set it up. I love that it prints so easily. I love the fact that to put the ink into the printer, all you have to do is insert the ink and it automatically fills it up. This makes it so much easier compared to other printers I have previously tried. I like that it is super easy to connect your wifi. The only part I did have some trouble with was getting the ream to come out the first time to insert some paper. Overall this is a wonderful printer and i highly recommend it!

I HATE this printer. We bought it for our office, and I find myself wanting to re-enact that scene from Office Space on a daily basis. If you're using this to do VERY basic printing on normal printer paper, it works fine. But you can find something way cheaper than this to do that. The only pro to this thing is the ink. It's super easy to fill, lasts a really long time, and is much cheaper than ink cartridges. The cons, first of all the color stops working all the time. I'm constantly having to waste time cleaning the ink heads. I use color daily so there's no reason these should be getting clogged as often as they do. Second, we print a ton of Avery labels at our office. The amount of hours and days I have spent troubleshooting is insane and no one, not Epson or Avery, has a solution for us. No matter what we do, every label template always prints horribly misaligned. We've wasted a ton of time and money trying to get this thing to print labels correctly. We should have just stuck with a cheap HP printer.

The design looks good but the paper in hard to get after printing. The print speed is ok but not as fast as I would like. Network setup was automatic and extremely easy. Impressed with the amount of ink that comes in the box. The document feader is fair. The scanner works well. Lots of pros and cons with this one.

I'm a long time HP user and wish I had not switched. The ink lasts a long time which is great but the print quality is just "ok". It's not nearly what I would have expected at this price point. Also, the scanner is the slowest I have ever encountered. Much faster scans at the same quality on my old printer that was less than half the price of this one. Pretty disappointing but I'm outside the return period so I'm stuck with it.
