Getting things together for a presentation can be kind of a pain. Lugging around the laptops, screens, projectors and wires. All pretty essential when it comes to getting your point across in the board room. But thanks to the Pro EX9240 3LCD Full HD 1080p Wireless Projector, I walked into the conference room and stole the show with just my smartphone. Right out of the box, you get a nice black carrying bag to house the beautiful black projector and its included power cord, a white remote control( But the projector is black...Come on Epson) and a couple of cheap AA batteries, that should last you quite a while, especially if you just opt to put your own batteries in and save those for when you're desperate. It was super easy to set up( simply by scanning the QR code on the screen and I was off to the races. I did a test run while no one was in the room just to make sure things went off without a hitch. It was Super easy. Barely an inconvenience. However, that's not the only way to connect to this office juggernaut. You can connect your PC directly or through LAN connectivity. HDMI is supported as well. The sound quality is plenty loud enough to get the presentation moving along, but if you really want to crank up the sound, there are connections for video/audio ( red, yellow and white ports). Again, not at all necessary. The best wireless connectivity comes via the Epson Projector App( available on the Apple store or Google Play store) Just download and connect. As always, the only downfall is the price tag. Coming in at $849.99 USD, it can be a bit pricey. But I honestly have to say. If you want a quality projector for home or the office, expect to spend, at the very least, $300 USD. Anything less and you're just selling yourself short at that point. (IMO, of course) But that white remote though?? All in all, I think this would make for a great addition to any office. Also, I think I just got a raise, myself, so that's something.

My first impression of this projector is that this is an amazing projector for the office and your home. This project has great colors, brightness and puts on an amazing display for whatever you maybe presenting or watching. I have been using this projector in and out of the office for about a week now and I absolutely love it. Let’s go over the features of the Epson - Pro EX9240 3LCD Full HD 1080p Wireless Projector. Unboxing- The projector came nicely packaged in sturdy box and inside the box the project was nestled in its black cushioned carrying case. So, overall the project comes packaged very well. In the box you also find the manual and the power cord for the projector. The projector has a very nice black finish, almost professional looking in a sense. The projector measures in at about 12 in W x 11 in D x 5 in H and weighs roughly about 8lbs, which makes it portable if you need to move it from room to another and also has a loop for a security cable if you need to leave in an accessible area. The projector has three mounting screw locations on the bottom of the projector and an option in the menu to allow you to adjust the display depending on how you have the projector mounted. Features- So, this is a 3LCD projector. 3LCD is the name and a brand owned by Epson and gets its name from the three LCD panel chips used in its imaging generation engine. 3LCD projectors can have higher color light output than single chip DLP projectors and this is because the projector mixes and projects light beams through all three colors to form each individual pixel, while the DLP on the other hand create colors by projecting them one at a time. 3LCD also use less power compared to DLP and are also able to display a finer image as well. The projector does have an adjustable foot on the bottom, to lift it up if it is placed on a table, and has a manual image adjustment capability to enlarge and reduce an image, focus and also to adjust the keystone depending on the location of the projector. The projector lens has a cover to protect the lens but also to mute the audio and video capability of the projector. The projector has 2 HDMI ports, Female VGA port, USB input, RCA input and lastly wireless display. So, this projector offers multiple input options which, in my opinion, makes this projector extremely portable. The projector offers full HD 1080p (1098x1080) display with 4000 lumens and 16:9 aspect ratio. The lamps have a 5500-hour life span on full brightness and setting and offer almost 12000-hours on eco mode. The projector also has a built-in speaker which is not the greatest, but works well in a quiet conference room. Split Screen Display- Ability to utilize two display inputs at once on a split screen. E-Zoom - Able to zoom 2x into the display Freeze – Freeze frame Use- So, like I had mentioned earlier that I have been using this projector in and out of the office. The wireless display connection makes this projector portable and extremely easy to use. I was able to connect my laptop to the project in less than a minute and my presentation was ready to go. The colors on my presentation were bright vivid and the best part was the text was easy to read and there was no distortion at all, and when you are done just pack it up and in its provided carrying case and you are ready to take the projector wherever you need. What sets this projector apart from the rest is its ability to project onto a screen even in a brightly lit room. Unfortunately, I was unable to take pictures of my presentation at work due to the confidential nature but I was able to take some pictures at home to show you how well the display works even in a brightly lit room. The projector does offer display modes catered directly to presentations, a blackboard mode for use on chalkboards, essentially eliminating the need for screen. The projector also offers a dynamic and cinema mode for use at home. I honestly can’t say enough about the wireless capability of this project because it makes it so versatile. At home even though I can connect this via the HDMI cable, I am also able to connect my phone directly to the projector wirelessly and stream anything off my phone. This projector offers the best of both worlds, for business and pleasure. In my opinion this is an amazingly versatile projector that is easy to use and easy to setup in the office and in your home as well. This projector has performed admirably for myself in my office and in my home. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an office and home use projector to give this baby a shot. You will not be disappointed.

I recently purchased the Epson Pro EX9240 3LCD Full HD 1080p Wireless Projector, and I am absolutely blown away by its performance! I was honestly surprised by just how bright the picture is. I expected a projector to require a completely dark room, but this one delivers vibrant, crisp images even in a room with ambient light. The 3,600 lumens of brightness make a huge difference, providing clear, sharp visuals whether I’m watching movies, giving presentations, or gaming. The Full HD 1080p resolution offers stunning clarity and detail, and colors pop beautifully, thanks to the 3LCD technology. I’ve used other projectors before, but none have matched the brightness and color accuracy that this one delivers. It’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, and I’ve been able to project on a large screen without any loss in quality or brightness. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the wireless capabilities. I was able to connect my laptop, phone, and streaming devices without needing any additional cables. The screen mirroring feature is especially handy, making it super easy to stream content directly from my devices. The projector is also surprisingly quiet, which is a bonus when using it in a home theater setup. The picture is stable and sharp, with minimal adjustments needed, and I love how portable it is for different viewing setups. Overall, the Epson Pro EX9240 has exceeded all my expectations. It’s bright, easy to set up, and delivers incredible picture quality. If you’re looking for a projector that performs well in various lighting conditions and offers excellent image clarity, I highly recommend this one!

This is a great multipurpose projector for use with just about any media source. For most people, this will serve as a projector for their multimedia room. For movies/streaming, this is about as good as any projector I’ve seen. For inputs, you pretty much have every port available on this projector. There’s USB-A/B, VGA and 2 HDMI slots. There’s no worry about having the proper port for whatever you’re looking to connect to this projector. The projector has buttons all along the top of the projector for easy access. These buttons won’t be helpful if you wall/ceiling mount this projector. However, there is an included remote as well with this projector. You can also download an app for your smartphone which will serve as a remote to in case you misplace the remote. The app is pretty good if you wanted to connect your phone/tablet directly to the projector without the need of cables. I found this to be especially useful on my iPad as I can project my screen when working on process flows or any diagrams to share out with my co-workers. One thing I did notice is when you connect the projector wirelessly, I ran into an issue with one of my laptops where there was some considerable lag between the laptop and projector. It was only with one laptop (an older one) but this was something that popped up. I used the Windows projector connect wizard which connects easily as well. The clarity on the projector is great. Whether you’re using this to view Blu-Rays, stream movies or anything work related, there’s no issue here in terms of clarity. I’ve been using this as a second monitor for my work laptop. For your normal PowerPoints, web and document uses, this works great. I was equally pleased with how this worked with video calls as well. No issues or lag when on calls. There is a speaker built into the projector which works pretty well. It’s not anything high definition but it gets the job done. I actually muted the projector speaker when on video calls since I use either a headset or the laptop speakers for sound. Size wise, this is pretty compact in design. I don’t think it’s either too big or too small so it’s about what you’d expect for a projector. One thing I was happy with was the noise. My other smaller projector I have is pretty loud. The fan on this projector is much quieter. It sounds as if there is a fan on low in the room next to you. You can hear it however it doesn’t sound like a mini hurricane like my other projector sounds. Overall, very pleased with this projector and its performance. I’m looking for a ceiling mount for this thing to really make it look nice in my place. From a quality/performance perspective, there’s nothing negative I can say about this. Connectivity wise, there’s no issue here as I can pretty much connect any of my devices to this projector either via wire or wirelessly.

    Excellent HD portable business projector

I wanted to get a portable projector for two purposes; we do 3d printing and have a few clients that want to see the layouts beforehand. And the second is our HOA would like to be able to have a projector for the HOA meetings as we have a pretty large neighborhood “over 500 homes” and a projector would make it easier to show budget information instead of an old overhead projector we are currently using. I saw that Epson released the EX9240 Pro line and it looked like it would fit the bill. Unboxing and first impressions: The projector came in a sturdy box, well protected inside by some foam framework. The projector itself was inside the included carrying case for added protection, there’s also a quick start guide, remote control, power cord and batteries for the remote. We’ve been using Epson projectors for a long time now and this one looks almost the same as the Home Cinema models except this one is in a textured herringbone gloss black “nice business like color” and doesn’t have the big round circular lens ring on the front of it making it just a little more compact and easier to put into a soft sided carrying case. The projector itself is pretty good sized around 12”x11”x3” and weighs about 7lbs. It feels plenty sturdy when placed on a table but light enough to make it easily portable. The included soft sided carrying case is a nice and welcome touch, it also has shoulder strap to help carrying the device. The case also has a large outside pocket that can easily hold the remote, power cord and manual, plus a mouse and anything else you may need. The back of the projector has plenty of ports available. There are two HDMI ports, analog video/audio RCA jacks, USB A and B ports “one each” and a standard VGA video input port, along with the speaker. The top side has control buttons for power, menu, home, vertical keystone, volume, along with sliders for focus and size. There are also indicator lights that show wireless connectivity, lamp life and temperature warnings. Setting up: I have a portable stand made for projectors that fits this perfectly and makes it easy to have a nice level place to put the projector just in case we don’t have a place to put it where we take it. The rest is all plug and play. There are slide levers by the lens that control focus size and keystone, there isn’t a lens shift adjustment wheel like the Home Cinema line has, you have to do your horizontal up/down adjustments by using the adjustable feet or my simply moving the projector around to get the proper alignment to your screen. After powering on it was simple to adjust the size / focus to have a perfectly clear image. I’m mainly using the wireless display option only with this since it’s built in and one less thing I have to worry about connecting to bringing a cable. Use: I turned on the projector and used the LAN button on the remote to get it ready for wireless transmission. Then using my desktop computer “also tried our laptop” under the “Display” menu using the “Connect to a Wireless Display” option the computer immediately connected to the projector and set it up as a secondary monitor. You also have the option to use the projector as a mirrored display. We tried both modes and each worked flawlessly. If you monitor is a higher resolution than 1080 then when you mirror the screen it will fall back down to match the 1080 resolution of the projector. The image was impressively sharp, extremely bright and very vibrant. I’m used to the projectors of the past where colors always looked a little washed out and resolution wasn’t that great. This one is pretty amazing with just how clear and bright the colors are. The 1080P 60fps is a sweet spot for image quality and affordability. All the 720 models I’ve seen/used don’t have nearly the resolution and clarity this does, and the 4k projectors are way bigger and a lot more money. 3d models looked great and you could really make out the fine details. It will be nice to show clients their work enlarged like this, and it makes it easy to spot anything out of the ordinary. Projecting power point presentations with my laptop was a breeze; the Miracast wireless worked flawlessly and will be so much better at displaying upcoming budgets at our HOA meetings, no more looking at a dim old overhead projector. This projector is rated at 4k lumens “yep it’s bright” and a contrast ratio of 16000:1, that’s plenty good for presentations and even video demonstrations. The image quality is not the same as some of the Home Cinema projectors like the one we have. It has 2700 lumens “not as bright” but with a 70000:1 contrast ratio, which is better for watching movies but really lacks in brightness if the room is illuminated. The EX9240 is definitely geared toward business use with a much brighter image that can be used in a well-lit area. Maintenance is pretty simple, there’s an air filter you’ll want to check and blow out, replace when necessary, but it’s easily accessible through a removable cover on the side of the projector. And lamps are a lot cheaper now too from the one’s I’ve used in the past, around $60 and they have a life span of around 5500 hrs on regular mode, and 12k hrs on eco, should last years with normal use. Conclusion: If you are looking for a business class projector that will work great for projecting just about anything you would ever need to display on a larger screen this new EX9240 Pro is going to be the projector for you. It is extremely bright; color and contrast are simply amazing. This projector can project up to 300” which would be perfect for a larger room and audience. There are plenty of controls to teak image quality and to get it right where you want it, especially if you are mounting this in a permanent location “and there are mounting points on the bottom for a ceiling mount built in”. The built in speaker would be loud enough for a smaller conference room but you can either attach an external speaker to the audio ports on the back of the projector, or “my preference” is to use a Bluetooth portable speaker and have it connected to the device you are transmitting with “Laptop/Desktop/Phone”, you really aren’t limited to the built in speaker by any means. The phone app is pretty handy if you don’t have a computer available. I connected to the projector with the android iProjection app available in the Google Play store, and had it scan the onscreen barcode the projector displayed. It connected to my Pixel 5 and my wife’s Note 10 without a problem. We were able to display pictures, PDF files and documents we already had downloaded to our phones. Fan noise should be a problem, while the projector does put out a good bit of heat the fan isn’t that loud “unless you are sitting right by it”, the heat coming out will keep you from sitting too close to the vent anyway.

When purchasing modern tech equipment, it needs to work at home and at the office. So when I purchase a projector, it needs to work great for movies, T.V. shows, PowerPoint, small text. It needs to work with my streaming devices and hook up to my laptop via multiple methods. And this was all solved, and then some with the Epson EX9240. The near perfect dual use, home and office, projector. The Epson EX9240’s speakers are considerably improved over previous Epson Projectors, as well as their competitors. Mirroring more of a TV’s speakers than laptop. Allowing for a quality sound experience for those movies on the wall. The sound experience is then extremely enhanced by the whisper quiet fan. That cannot be heard over the movie or TV show. And barely noticeable when using for a presentation. The video image is extremely crisp, and in my video and photos, I have EVERY light on. There is no need to turn off the lights for this price and crisp projector. The viewing angle does not have to be right behind the wall, but can be several degrees (I tested up to 45 degrees!) from the wall. This means you can put it on a table, pick a wall, and go! Lining up is unnecessary, and the device can solve viewing angles on its own. No white screen is required, and I had extremely crisp images right on my textured wall. For the picture, there are multiple plugins, including two HDMI ports. Which both HDMI ports can be used side by side at the same time. The carrying case makes this extremely easy to carry to the office in the rare case I have to go, with the only limitation that the kids are upset losing their 100 plus inch “TV” they love to use! This is a review for the Epson Pro EX9240 1080p projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Video portion: https://youtu.be/EbdkaEfpUbQ

Unit was easy to set up, Picture adjustments were straight-forward and I was able to understand the instructions. The picture is quite a bit brighter than my previous projector making it suitable for daytime viewing in my living room. At night the picture is quite comparable to my 65" TV. Remote is easy to use, but I would have preferred a backlit remote.

The Epson - Pro EX9240 provides an amazing picture and video experience. The high definition and sharpness are impressive and I found it to be better than 4K TVs. One of the main reasons I found it better than TV is because it's easy on the eyes since light is not being directed into the eye but instead on a screen so viewing is pleasurable and less eye-straining. It provides a theater-like experience in HD and I found that it outperforms other projectors easily. I even was able to connect my phone over WIFI and that changed the game! Even having class and attending my Zoom lectures are awesome. Also going over powerpoints to study is way more fun now. I honestly might ditch the TVs in the future and just buy Epson projectors from now on. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought this projector as an upgrade to my cheaper option I had installed and wow what a difference the lumens make! I have the projector installed outside on my Lanai (Florida) and it works amazing during the day and night. Super clean/clear and the split screen capability by HDMI input makes it easy to work on two separate ideas at the same time. The movies display amazing! However, I suggest purchasing a true projector screen if you do not have one.

I've only been able to use this projector for one meeting so far, primarily due to many meetings being virtual now, but I expect to get more use out of it in the future. It replaces an old 2500 lumen model that I've been using for a few years. To start with, the projector offers full HD resolution, which is a step up from the XGA resolution I was using before. Even small text is clearly visible and readable on screen, where before it was blurry and difficult to see. At 4000 lumens, it makes my old unit seem dim by comparison. Normally I need to try to reduce the amount of light in the room to get the best picture. If I can't, it was still serviceable, but not optimal. With this Epson, it doesn't look like that will be an issue any longer. I gave my presentation without having to adjust the lighting at all, and it was pretty great. It fills my portable 100" screen at around 10 feet away, with the optical zoom at full, which is about the same as my old machine. I feel like that's pretty standard and has been for awhile on units that aren't short-throw. Audio is serviceable, but a little tinny. Fine for most business uses and presentations, but probably not something you'll want to use for movie night (if that's your goal) without some sort of audio solution. I'm a little surprised that it has no audio output, though. That seems like a basic function. The shutter for the lens is manually operated, as is optical zoom. It will automatically adjust the keystone to a set degree if the device is tilted beyond a certain threshold to make adjusting the image easier. It has your standard H/V keystone adjustments, and an optional four corners adjustment, which is very handy for ceiling mounts where you might not be dead center with the screen. Although I don't intend to use it for video purposes, I did play back some video for the purpose of this review and there wasn't any particular ghosting that I noticed. The picture was crisp and clear and held up to motion without any problems. This model has WiFi connectivity. I don't have much of a use for it, but I did test the Miracast function with my Win10 laptop and it worked seamlessly. It does come with a small amount of input lag, but that's a small price to pay to be able to roam around the room with your tablet, for instance. The black finish looks sleek and high end, and the included carrying case is well padded to protect the projector, and includes space for the remote and cables. All in all, this is a fantastic professional projector.

Purchased this as I found it at a good price and it was capable of projecting a 125" image at my throw distance. It is much quieter than the cheap projector it was replacing. Image quality is good and brightness is very clear even in moderate lighting. The fan occasionally makes rattling noises and it lacks some modern features like HDMI Arc which would have been nice. But compared to the other projectors with those features this was the better bang for the buck.

I used this projector for my office meetings and presentations, worked well, I tested this at home as well to check various features like LAN connection, Mirroring, HDMI, Audio out. All worked seamlessly. I used Epson IProjection app to project things from my iPhone. I liked the sync, it is almost instantaneous. Display quality is good. Device comes with black bag which is good and easy to carry. I really liked it. I do not see any issues with this. It has all ports. There is no USB C port. Do not why USB Port C not present in many devices yet. Some laptops won’t come with HDMI, example Surface. Anyways not a big deal we have work around for this. I gave 4 because I have seen better product than this in quality wise and connectivity wise, I do not want to go deep into comparison, since other projectors are way expensive than this one. Attaching some pictures please check.

This is a great quality and bright projector. Sound is great for a projector with built in speaker but you definitely need front Bluetooth speaker or sound bar. Picture is very clear, we watch it during the day with our curtains open and still has great picture. I looked for projectors for a year and after all the reviews and research i decided to try this one out. Im glad i did!! All around great projector for work, really good for gaming and movies. I was always in the market for a portable projector. As the Palliative Care Chaplain at a major hospital in Los Angeles, I am required to give lectures on best practices of supporting patients and their families. Many times, I don't have the luxury of a projector or a wide screen television to connect my computer or tablet for presentations. Low and behold, this Epson EX9240 gives me that mobility and screen utilization that I need. After a few weeks of usage, here are my thoughts: Pros: -Set up: This is a breeze to set up. Plug iin the power source, set up is easy step-by-step process when connected to my device(s). I was happy to find that it came with a remote control which took me some time to get used to. Setting up wireless was pretty simple and painless. The biggest issue I had with set up was making sure it was leveled as it has 1 leg in the front. If you are on a uneven surface, it will show on the screen. -Screen Quality: This is where the Epson shines. I got an amazing clear and crisp screen, even with a wall that has some texture to it, you could not tell because of this screen quality. You have 1080P quality with 4k lumens. When used in a dark room, the screen colors of my PowerPoint presentations were vibrant and bright. I even decided to view some movies/documentaries that I would incorporate into my meetings and the screen quality is still very sharp. -Sound: This comes with a speaker built in so you are able to have some sound with what you are projecting which is a nice addition. More on this later. -Connection Ports: You have so many options to choose from here. You have an HDMI (x2), USB-A, and standard Audio Cables and Computer Monitor ports. I really enjoy using the USB-A because I have many presentations saved on my Flash Drives that I saved from my work computer. -Carrying Case: Thank you for adding this canvas travelling case. I was worried that I would have to purchase one separately, but thankfully one was included. This comes in handy when moving from meeting to another. Cons: -Sound: as stated earlier, this comes with a built in speaker. Unfortunately, it is not very loud and would need a separate sound system if you want to incorporate audio into your presentations. Conclusions: This is a great projector for my work purposes. I am able to be more mobile and free from any logistics shortfalls. This is a must for any home business or those who do presentations.

The HD Projector delivers stunning visuals with vibrant colors and sharp resolution. Setup is a breeze, and its compact design allows flexible placement. Versatile connectivity options, including HDMI and wireless, make it ideal for various purposes. While lacking smart features, its affordable price, clear audio, and extended lamp life make it a solid choice for home entertainment or presentations.
