I have a VERY similar, slightly older model which requires the same cartridges as this model. Although the price of this model may be right, you will pay for it MANY times over in ink. Even just for light, every-day printing the cartridges only last for about 3 weeks and if you're printing photos or making copies, well, lets just say you better have a couple extra cartridges on hand. With each one being about $13 a piece, that's a lot of $$, and its just not worth paying less for a printer when the ink is SO expensive. Besides going through a lot of ink, the print quality just isn't that great, it prints fairly slow, and is VERY loud and "violent" when it prints. Other than my dissatisfaction with the printing aspect, the scanning quality is at least nice and for the most part its easy to use.

i use this printer, to create documents for special purposes like flyers, and certain envelopes. I also use it for college essays and projects.

seems to run better than what i had had. went on sale less than 2 weeks later(new) for less than what i paid for a refurished version.

I purchased this printer/scanner thinking it would be a good fit for my needs. It uses ink like it has a leak. The Epson cartridges are so expensive, you may as well buy a new printer each time you need to replace them. I usually use refurbished cartridges and had no problem in the beginning. Now the printer won't recognize the replacement cartridges so I can't use them. Epson customer service told me to get Epson cartridges and now it won't recognize them either. I am returning the printer to Best Buy on my service contract because it can not be used with any kind of cartridges. I won't even consider a new Epson because of the price of cartridges, over $50 even with the discounted color cartridges multi-pack.

Everything is excellent on the printer but for no reason what so ever it will paper jam and you have to turn it on and off until it figures out it doesn't have a paper jam.

I received my order in a timely manner, set-up was easy and the color cartridges that came with the printer have been put to great use.

I did not realize this was a refurbished printer. But I do not notice that anything is different. Great printer.
