Saves huge on ink costs! Will pay for itself in a year or two. You can print in color all you want and not worry about ink. Text, edges, and lines are very sharp and clean. I'm not so impressed with color match printing photos, but it is new and will require some experimenting. You must change paper size in both your application and on the printer - this is just a nuisance but should be controlled by the application only. Also is a bit noisier than my previous printer. All in all a pretty good device and I am happy with my purchase.

This prints everything fast and the result looks great as usual with Epson products. The. Best thing however is that there are no ink cartridges. We will be able to print for over a year before we have to add any ink to the printer. In the past we would have to buy several expensive cartridges during the year. We love this printer!

I have it for less than a month and its being used in a small office. No cons so far. I wanted one for home that could print photos too but couldn't find any Epson product. Other than that i strongly recommend to everyone to replace any conventional printer with this. I can print whatever i like. Was looking for this product badly.

I bought this to replace an inkjet printer in our home. This printer is great because first it is wireless. No long cords that need to be strung or the printer kept relatively close to computers. I put it on my home network for my laptop and wife's desktop both of which operate wirelessly. The ink that comes with the printer can be a little hard to even pour into the respective containers but it's manageable. I like how the users can also see the ink levels as well on the side. This makes it easy to know what inks need to be replaced and which don't. The cost of the replacement ink is very affordable as well compared to either ink jet cartridges or other laser jet toners. I would definitely buy one of these again.

Went looking for printer to replace my aging HP Photosmart. The ET-4550 costs more than I normally pay for a home-use printer, but when I analyzed the cost of ink vs HP's cartridges, I will recoup the higher price in one years savings on ink. I did some quick research on the printer (all good) and bought it the next day. Never owned anything but HP previously, but I'm completely sold on this Epson. Easy to set up and use. The only con I see so far is the procedure to change from paper to envelopes or photo paper is more complicated than it needs to be, but once you have worked through the procedure, it's not all that difficult. This is a great printer for my needs and prints much faster than my old HP. LOVE IT!

The is a medium-level printer that should pay for itself in ink cartridge savings. The ink costs next-to-nothing ... though the initial purchase price is a bit steep. I do like the horizontal paper tray. Epson offers a $50 rebate if you turn in (recycle) an old printer.

We needed a new color printer and wanted one with more capability. This Epson does it all. Easy to connect to our network, easy to configure and use. The only negative is you don't have to pay for ink for about 4 years or so, but you pay for it up front. The convenience of that was worththe extra cost.

We spent about $500 for this printer, are saving a lot on cost of ink, but this printer is a step down from previous Epson printers we've had. Picture quality is not as sharp as with 5 color versions. It doesn't accept card stock paper. The auto feeder messes up 1-2 lines per page (have had it adjusted to no avail). Only has 1 paper tray - you have to keep switching it and the settings going from 4x6 photo and regular paper printing. This is the 3rd Epson ET-4550 they sent us and auto feeder problem still exists - appears to be a design flaw.

The printer cost me a lot more up front than any HP I saw however the fact that it came with 2 years of ink is a huge plus for me. I hate having to spend $50 on ink every few print jobs with my old HP so I decided to try this new EcoTank out. we shall see if the ink holds up for 2 years as advertised

I have always had HP printers. And last year purchased a HP fax machine. 2 days after the warranty was up, it quit working, as did 2 other HP printers in my office. The HP's would run through the 39.95 ink refills in 500 sheets of paper. Being disgruntled with HP, I saw this Epson printer with it's own ink reseviors & decided to give it a try. Boy, this dude rocks! We filled the tanks up when we set it up and have gone through 1,000 sheets of paper, and the tanks are still almost full! And it has a 2 year warranty instead of just a year. So long HP; Keep in touch....

Purchased this Epson Work Force 4550 for home use. It was pretty easy to set up. I only got a little ink on my hands which surprised me. I just followed the instructions and was up and running quickly. I have not tried the fax yet as I can't find the cord that I bought to connect it to our landline. I do like the printer........so far. It's really too big for our needs but the cost of ink is what attracted us. Supposedly much cheaper than buying cartridges. We shall see. :)

The printer was easy to setup. I love the fact that the printer comes with plenty of ink in the box. The concept of eco tanks is great. The print quality has been great. I haven't had any issue with any of its functions. However, I haven't tried the fax functionality.

This is about my 5th or 6th Epson printer. Love their inks. Got this one for the huge capacity of the new ink tanks. Prints beautifully so far. Allowed me to give my still-running Epson 2540 printer to someone who needed one. A win for both of us!

This is a really great printer especially for those that print a lot. I've seen reviews that complain about he messy set up putting the ink in the tanks. If you're careful and follow the directions it's easy. I had no mess at all. Everything was easy to set up and install. I highly recommend for small office use.
The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is photo quality. Photos look very good to the untrained eye, but it's definitely not on par with the better photo printers.

I am famous for killing trees because I do lots of printing. I used gallons and gallons of expensive ink. So far this tank printer has worked as advertised and is saving me lots of $ on ink. Print quality and speed are fine and as advertised.

Decent printer but expensive for the features. The bulk ink is nice but must be careful when refilling the tanks.
