WF-4740 died after 2 years with useless error message "Scanner Error 1000016" (so because the scanner dies, I can't use the printer?). Stupidly, downgraded to WF-4720 (since it will only last 2 years I guess). On the 4720, the LCD never fully shuts off when it's in Sleep Mode!! The backlight stays on, lighting up your room. Printer is in my bedroom. I already put black tape over the stupid blue LED. Now should I put a piece of cardboard over the entire LCD because your developer's don't know how to properly turn off an LCD? Why does the 4720 do this and not the 4740??? Also, paper tray has a manufacturing defect so apparently they all come with a blemsh / scratches across the top. Also not present on the 4740, but both 4720's I bought. Returning 2nd one.

Had a little trouble setting up for wireless printing but I was able to get it set up the way I wanted. Great features (scan, double-sided printing, ADF and large capacity paper tray), although I won't ever use the fax. Speed is just enough for what I need and the price was great (came bundled with an extra black cartridge). We'll see how long the cartridges last.

This printer was easy to pair to my phone to print and prints quickly and clearly.
