QOTSA made another excellent album even better than Songs For the Deaf.

This is music from some very accomplished musicians and they come together to create their own unique sound that is easy to listen to.

Queens of the Stone Age continue to be, with My Morning Jacket, one of the two most underappreciated bands in the world. The first five tracks on this album are all as good as anything Queens of the Stone Age have ever cut. The manic, terrifying Sick, Sick, Sick features guest vocals by Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas. The highlight of the album, and one of the highlights of Josh Homme's career, is the tremendous Misfit Love. His patented funky stomp/groove is in full force and reaches its peak less than a minute in. At this point in his career, Josh Homme would have to try to write a bad song. Era Vulgaris is yet another stellar album from the most consistent band in the business.

When I first listened to this album, I was amazed at the diversity of its songs. From the exhilarating "3's and 7's" to the zen "Into the Hollow", this album has everything that I have come to expect in a Queens of the Stone Age album. However, I was disappointed that the album is only 45 minutes. I was forced to cry out, "That's ALL??" when the last track had finished. Nonetheless, this album is quite the addition to my music library, and I am happy to have bought it.

I absolutely LOVE this album! Been a fan of QOTSA for YEARS and their stuff never ceases to amaze me. 'Turnin' On The Screw' is a great opener and leads very well into 'Sick, Sick, Sick', the album's first single. It may be a rock album, but Josh, Troy, and Joey say it best when they say their music's hard enough for the guys, and smooth enough for the ladies~ It definitely puts the swing in my hip and the spring in my step. A funky dance album at heart.

At first I didn't like it, because I didn't know the lyrics, and the ONLY song I had heard from them was 3's and 7's, so I bought the whole CD, and it turned out ta be AWESOME! Even though I know all the lyrics, they still don't make sense lol, but that doesn't take away the greatness of this album. I love every song, except Turnin' On the Screw. Sorry, I dunno why, I just don't. But the rest of the album is all greatness
