A must see for any Kurt Russel or John Carpenter fan.. This movie gets better with age and I appreciate it more. The special effects and the music are as stunning as ever, And shout factory does a great job with the extras.

This steelbook is exactly as expected, actually slightly better. Looks great with the other two. Big time John Carpenter fan so this is a no-brainer. I really hope there are more to this series. Many movies to choose from.

This is such a great movie. This, Predator, and Terminator are what I think of when I think of 80's action. Well, that and the other Kurt Russel classic Big Trouble in Little China. I was so glad I found this in my local store and was able to add it to my collection and share such a wonderful movie with my kids.

Limited edition steelbook for one of John Carpenter's best films. I am normally not a fan of steelbooks but for a limited edition run, and cheaper price, it was worth the purchase. If you see it in stores, pick it up.

Snake Pliskin (Kurt Russel) is the presidents only hope for rescue from the prison island know as New York. The all star cast only adds to the film's extraordinary performances. If you like 80's then this is a must have!

I have Escape from New York on DVD...But The Blu-ray is a heck of a lot better...even on an older movie like this one!!! Its a must have for Kurt Russell fans and John Carpenter fans!! Awesome Extras and AWESOME movie.

Escape From New York is an awesome movie. John Carpenter is a great director. Shout Factory does incredible Blu Rays with tons of bonus features. Buy This. Even if you already have it on Blu Ray, it is still worth upgrading.

This such a great classic!!! Kurt Russell rocks as Snake Plisskin!! I got the chance to meet Adrienne Barbeau this past August and got to tell her what a amazing actress she is. If you have not seen this movie, you should.

All John Carpenter flicks are great and this is no exception. Snake Pliskin is the ultimate bad - good guy, a hero of mine and one of the best characters in film history. All Star cast. Nice picture quality. Must have!

A great, great movie back up by a collection of great special features. Scream Factory did a good job on this one and should be enough reason to upgrade if you just have the regular ole blu ray.

If you're interested in buying or rebuying Escape from New York, choose this blu ray release. It's not only beautifully remastered, but also contains a ton of SF for Carpenter fans. Highly recommended!

Escape from New York (Blu-ray Disc) (2 Disc) (Collector's Edition) is a must own in my opinion. A classic film made even better with Blu-ray, and packed with extras. Very nice upgrade over the DVD version.

The picture and sound have been perfectly restored. The bonus features are lean, but the insightful and hillarious commentary with director John Carpenter and star Kurt Russel more than make up for it.

The origins of Snake - action adventure - if you like Escape From LA, you will enjoy this movie

If you don't own this film, then you probably aren't the kind of person I want to know. Watch it. Hear it. Feel it with your thoughts. Imagine what those thoughts might taste like. Then watch They Live.

A great and classic John Carpenter movie. Snake Plisken is the ultimate anti-hero, which is a staple in many of Carpenter's movies. Highly recommend for nostalgic movie buffs, or to those unfamiliar to this film.

One of the best 80s action movies in an incredible collector's edition housed in a really eye catching new steelbook. Fans of the film should grab it immediately. Worth every penny!

Featuring an atmospherically grimy futuristic metropolis, Escape from New York is a strange, entertaining jumble of thrilling action and oddball weirdness. Another 80s movies classic.

I've read a great deal of complains about the film's picture quality on this blu ray but frankly, this is as good as the film will ever look. It's simply a dark movie and it isn't meant to... pop off the screen. Again, IMO, this is the best this film ever look on.
