Snake Plissken needs to save the President of the United States and escape from New York. It's a cult classic that still holds up well and it's one of Kurt Russell's best movies.

Well, I finally stumbled on a copy at my local best buy and for a good price too, the bluray remaster looks phenomenal! A must have for any John Carpenter movie fanatic.

Finally got this movie on blu ray. One of a few movies that I was willing to re buy on blu ray even though I had the dvd.

this film is one of my fav, had it on dvd and when i seen this beautiful steel book under 20 it was a must everything was good hope to see more steelbooks thanks best buy

In my opinion the best John Carpenter movie he ever did...and certainly will always be Kurt Russell's best role. Defintiely one that should be in every cult movie fan's collection.

I truly wish Best Buy carried more Scream Factory titles because they excel in these releases. Fantastic assortment of special features and a movie that still holds up really well.

This movie is a 80s classic from Famous John Carpenter, which features the blu-ray and dvd together.. Expect a lot of action in this drama filled movie with a great cast of characters..

This movie is a classic and even though the future in it is now the past, the movie is still great and lots of fun to watch. The steelbook packaging is great

I have owned this movie in so many forms (VHS, DVD, Special Edition). This is the best looking release of the movie yet. New extras are nothing special to me, but a lot of the older features transferred over in SD format.

Great movie and wonderful steelbook collection! So glad they did these movies in steelbook. Hope they do other John carpenter movies, like Halloween.

This movie looks the best that I've ever seen and that includes laser disc and DVD. But the payoff is the commentary. It's great. That alone is worth the purchase.

The movie itself is great, and the blu ray is pretty bare bones, but the transfer is great. For the price this is just what I would have expected.

This was a Kurt Russel classic. The Thing, Big Trouble in China, etc. He's great and this movie is dark and a throwback to the 80s. Good Buy for cheap.

While I enjoyed watching this again, getting it on blu-ray really didn't help the picture much but the sound was better. It's still a good old classic but the picture is limited due to the original film quality.

Escape from NY is a classic of 80s cinema & I'd bought the bare bones blu-ray some time ago. However, I was happy to see that the version with the better bonus features was available, so I upgraded! Highly recommended!

I like the original better, but, I was pleased to have Escape From L.A. on blu ray. While the transfer is not flawless, the picture is still far superior to the dvd. The sound is fine. A great action movie to add to your blu ray collection.

It may be old , but this is classic with the island of Manhatten converted into a prison Island and the inmates trying to break out

This blu ray is a big improvement over the DVD, the picture windscreen 2.35:1 is much better and so is the sound in Dts-hd master 5.1.. and of course the movie is a cult classic... snake plissken us the man!
