I travel a LOT and by my nature, dont exceed speed limits. However, like insurance policy, this is another good gadget to carry and know when cops are around with speed guns- just to be sure.

Has not let me down yet, notifies me with enough time to slow down. I mainly use this detector for highway purposes

Purchased to replace a Valentine V1 radar, similar range, fewer false alarms. Excellent value for the price.

only thing i dislike is that it picks up on every building with auto doors, every road sign that;s powered etc, but the actual radar detection is great and the range is very good. it will pick them up long before i can see them and keep detecting well after they are out of sight

This radar detector replaced my old escort passport x50. It’s still functional but I was fed up with the false alerts I was getting from the anti-collision sensors installed in many new cars. At first I was thinking of getting the escort 9500ix but that one has the old DPS technology that will not filter those type of sensors too well. I’ve read that the passport x70 is the best band for the buck. It has the latest DPS technology to filter out those anti-collision sensors and does a very good job in detecting radars. Based on the escort website the x70 is the replacement of the passport x50. Its been over a month since I’ve purchased the x70 and so far I’m impressed with it’s ability to block false alerts. And it’s as capable as my old x50 when it comes to detecting police radars. The only issue I have is the LED display, it’s very weak. You can set it to the highest illumination setting but during daytime driving I can barely see the display. I still give it 5 stars since it does everything else very well.

I'm loving this, it's been good so far. Haven't gotten a chance to test it on the highway, but it's working great in the city.

We are very pleased with this purchase. This radar detector notifies you of KA bands with plenty of time to slow down. The display is nice and easy to read. Great purchase!!

I love this easy to use radar detector and it has already paid for itself

The radar detector works probably as well as any, but the Escort Live app is worthless and does not connect to IOS 10 or 11...very disappointed. However, it does work well with the Waze app although they are independent of each other.

Great middle of the pack detector. I like the audible alerts so you don't have to always look at the detector. Included smart cord is very hand to silence alarms as well as alert notification. Range is not as great as some of the more expensive units, but it did alert me in time to slow my speed.

I was hesitant getting this radar or any other radar because i was skeptic about how this tings work specially new technologies come and goes. It helps a lot though not just getting out of a speeding ticket but just by being aware and reminded that I need to stay on the limit.

I finally switched from my 13 year old Escort 8500 which was top of the line back then but sadly was constantly picking up false alerts now with the change in radar technology. The X70 feels the same but much more quiet than it's ancestor. Plus love the change in the sound and voice prompts for alerts. The X70 now makes me want to eventually upgrade to the Max 360 in due time...

Woul recommend highly great product for the money. Great price also
