I've only viewed the first two discs from this six disc set so far, but I can't wait to see the rest of these mesmerizing stories. Recalling many of these unforgettable moments in sports history reminds me of how important sports were in my life as a young man. Growing up in the early days of ESPN, I'm thankful and appreciative that this network put together such a great package of sports memorabilia and look forward to many of the newer episodes that didn't make it onto this set.

My husband loved it but the second disc is not working. The first and third do. How do I get a replacement for the second disc.

ESPN struck gold with the 30 for 30 idea/series...the stories are great.

I had seen some of the movies on TV, but there are a few that I hadn't heard about that were great. "Once Brothers" is my favorite so far. All the discs come in one big case, which I like.

Everyone of these documentaries is great. Some are truly groundbreaking and poignant. My personal fav is Once Brothers.

The 30 for 30 series is almost always good and this is a cheap way to own the early episodes in HD.

Had to return it because disc 2 didnt work and disc 1 looked horrible. They clearly rushed this out

I noticed that some people rated this lower because there are only 29 of the 30 films. I don't think they actually purchased the set because I have seen multiple multiple multiple people say that the blu-ray set in fact does include all 30 films. Best Buy simply forgot to list one of them on the website. Go into the store and check the box to verify for yourself but it appears that the image of the blu-ray case even says "films 01-30" under where it says 30 for 30. Please don't post a review if you don't actually have the info about the product you are reviewing.

After seeing a few of the 30 for 30 films on ESPN, I was really excited to get the full set on Blu-ray. My (older) sony player had a problem playing disc 1 & 2 - like some of the other reviewers. But after updating the player firmware, all discs now work fine. This is a great series… my favorites (so far) are The Two Escobars, The Band That Wouldn’t Die and The U. ESPN deserves a lot of credit. These movies go way beyond the old cliché sports documentaries of the past… and that’s a good thing. Even my wife (not a huge sports fan) enjoys them…

This is a must see for die hard sports fans. Even casual fans will enjoy this set. If you're a young fan, there's some great history and if you were around for all the subjects covered, the films well bring back fond memories - good and bad. I bought my copy from the local Best Buy. It contains all 30 films (Once Brothers is in the set on disc 5) and all the discs work perfectly.

After checking the ESPN website for the 30 for 30 titles and when each appeared. There is one episode missing: Once Brothers from NBA Entertainment. I would guess that the NBA would not give ESPN to include this particular show, because of ownership rites. I was going to invest in this but not having all the 30 titles, I think I will pass.

Great series, if you like sports films or sports at all you will love these films. I never thought i would find some of these stories interesting but was completely surprised. Every one of these was Excellent! Only there are not 30 of them, count there are only 29

I watched several of the episodes when they aired on ESPN and had to have my own copy. All 30 episodes are here for your enjoyment.

Just like Braindoc & PharmDMBAJD have reported I had the same issues with Disc 1 & 2; disc 1 won't even let me select a film, and disc 2 won't let me play the selected film. I even experienced a bit of a problem with disc 4 where after the disc loaded I was staring at a black screen for about 5 minutes until I stopped the disk and started over. My low rating is due to the manufacturing flaws, not the content of the documentaries, which are terrific. If I knew about this in advance I would wait for the manufacturing defects to be resolved before purchasing. I will try exchanging the discs to see if I get lucky and get a replacement set that works.

This was a birthday gift for my husband. He was so happy when he opened it up and started watching the episodes. We are very pleased with the blue ray quality of viewing.

the first 2 disc of the collection worked great on my ps3, no problems at all. it the best collection of sports stories i have ever seen. a must have for any sports fan

Purchased this blu ray set three times and had to return each time! Discs 2, 4, & 6 were all bad discs and did not work in 4 different blu ray players. The current batch that is for sale must be a bad batch. Hopefully someone will correct the issue and get sets out there where all 6 discs work properly. The discs that DID work were very nice. Great documentaries and great picture quality. The price is also a great deal, but until the issue with bad discs gets worked out....buyer beware!
