This has to be the best phone I've bought so far... NO Crap-ware in it at all. Lots of storage, nice large screen and it looks beautiful!!! Battery lasts all day too!

The Essential phone is the most underrated cell phone out. I only found out about it visiting a best buy and went back to this store half a dozen times to look at it before commiting and purchasing it. Just a cool phone. Blacked out, no bloatware, instantly updated to Android 9.0 with the pixel 2. Fast and responsive with more storage than I can use. They say the flaw us the camera, well I disagree , yea you can't zoom half a mile away and see nose hairs in the shot, but really, im not a sniper or bird watcher. It takes great pictures. The resolution is fantastic, I can't see pixles greater than the first amoled screen and you can't either but if claim you can this screen rocks. It has a notch but it's real small. Love the phone that doesn't need markings and insignia to stand out as a status symbol. I mean c'mon don't you feel like a douche getting a case for a phone with a hole cut so you can show it's an iphone? This phone stands out in the fact it doesn't try. They just released some cool new colors. Cons: just one. You can't find crap for cases made for it.

The device is definitely a head turner. Many people ask about the phone and who makes it. To which I respond with "Essential Phone." The main problem is, no one has heard about it and for the price is tough to compete with other phones. The original price is definitely not something I recommend. Always try to get this on sale, but even now I refrain from anyone buying this phone due to the cancellation of an essential V2. The main reason I got the phone was for the looks and the OS being stock android. So if you do get this phone it'll be an okay experience still, just get it at a discount.

Phone is very snappy, and the display is brilliant. Honestly the camera is the only downside of this phone, but I don't snap a ton of pictures with my phone anyway. Highly recommend it!

This is a great phone for the price. Great graphics and the memory is outstanding. It is a little on the heavy side but I was told that was because of the great system that is in it!

It seem to be a good phone, no issues so far (keeping fingers crossed). Just wish the mobile “expert” knew more about the working of the phone since there is no manual either with the phone or on the website the paper directs you to use. Also, no case or screen protector is available for this phone either through Best Buy or Sprint.

I was initially worried about making the jump from VZW to Sprint for a number of reason... however I've always been a fan of getting things that NOT everyone else has (i.e. Samsung or Apple phones) and the promise of a super inexpensive PH-1 put me over the edge. And let me say I've been very pleased with the decision overall! Everyone initially gave this phone low marks for its camera, and at the time it deserved it. However updates (probably almost 6 month ago now?) made the camera a non-issue. Camera performance is now far better than my S7 work phone, and on par with my wife's iPhone 8+. Very solid phone that feels good in your hand. Not gigantic, so I don't feel like I need one of those pop sockets to keep from throwing it every time I pull it out of my pocket. Great screen, and solid battery life. And the Sprint service has been totally worth switching as well!

I really wanted to like this phone It has the right amount of storage and RAm. Has vanilla android and is plenty fast. The issue I had was that it did not make or receive calls and texts intermittently. Without those 2 features it was not a phone. I returned it.

Phone feels and looks amazing. It lacks in performance. My son can be sitting right next to me with his Galaxy 5 and gets a way better signal than me. The camera is not very good. The worst part of the phone is no headphone jack. You have to use an audio adapter that is a pain to carry around. No after market adapters work either.

Phone is powerful and nice looking. Some people had some issues with camera and other things but updates have resolved most if not all. My wife loved the phone so much she picked up an unlocked one off the website.

I was very hesitant before I purchased the Essential PH-1, mostly due to negative reviews but now that I have been using the phone for awhile, I've never been as happy with a phone than I am with this one. I test drove a few other phones before buying this one, This phone exceeds my expectations. And proves the people that review phone are bias against this phone for one reason or another. BTW the camera is not as bad as the reviews have stated.... Constant updates on the camera app have improved the functionality

This is a beautiful new phone from a new company. I love the idea of just having pure Android, no bloatware. The storage is great and the hardware is top notch but Android messages does not work! I can send text messages all day long but the phone does not receive messages. I checked Sprints website and it seems to be a widespread issue for this phone. Sprint needs to figure this out because nobody will get this phone if you can't send messages. I tried every other messaging app in the Google play store, even paid apps and I could not receive messages unless someone was using the same app. They did seem to fix the camera issue. The camera isn't really bright but there wasn't any lag from whet a lot or reviewers commented on. If Sprint can fix this issue then I'd consider getting another one.

I finally was able to pick this phone up after months of longing for it. The body is solid - gorilla glass front and metallic body (you can feel the weight difference from other phones - and know that it does not need to be wrapped in a cheap plastic case). No marketing of the phones maker taking away from the screen, updates as they occur and a battery that can even last this phone junky throughout the day. I sure look forward to the follow up from these guys!
