The phone looks really nice. With the updated Android OS, it runs fast. However, the camera is sluggish and cannot produce the high quality pictures. Time to move on.

I absolutely love this phone the only downsides I have for it are that not all apps can use the full screen and the lack of a microsd card detract a bit from the overall experience, however with 128 gb of internal storage it really isnt that big of a deal

The phone has good specs and is very easy to look at. I have used it for about a month and have had no issues. Battery life is good, with moderate use I am still 40 to 50% at the end of the day most days. None of the aggravating bloat ware and it works fine on ATT in my area.

So far so good. Owned the device going on two weeks and loving it. The device is fast to download content and connect to peripherals. Better than most of the other well known phones in the market. Will highly recommend the device.

Although Essential is no longer a company, there were still active updates for this phone. It is a great screen although it is IPS LCD and NOT OLED. The notch is not too obstructive and looks great with the form factor. Strong and sturdy build, I have used this phone without a case. The ceramic back is actually quite durable.

This phone has made many improvments since it first came out. The first thing that's undeniable is the build quality. It feels very nice in my hand. People are always asking me what kind of phone I have. The camera is better then my wife's Iphone. With updates through August 2020.

I had problems making/receiving phone calls, however, after fiddling around I got it to work. Great design and it feels premium, just HaD wished the camera would be just as good as the pixel 2 and iPhone X cameras.

This phone runs an almost pure version of Android, helping make it extremely fast. It also gets updates quickly, with it now running Android Pie. Updates since my initial purchase have greatly improved the camera.

The Essential Phone is an near pure Android experience. No junk apps and a great, nearly top of the line CPU. Combined with the built in 128GB of space and 4GB RAM, it's hard to see why these aren't flying off the shelves. I haven't had a phone run so well since the Nokia 1520. It's future proof too and I've already been able to update to Android 9.0.

After one year's ownership the phone was a good starter phone for Essential. I was not pleased with the camera or battery life after months of ownership but loved the feel of the phone in hand.

Honestly its a great phone, i was able to get it at 250 when on sale and the specs are awesome, i was lucky and mine has no ghost touch issues. i use google camera with it and everything turns out pretty good. I do not use a case and the phone is still kicking even after i kicked it. nothing cracked, just some scruffs.

I replaced my 13 month old Pixel, with this phone. Great value for top hardware at the time. The only downfall is the camera really lags and does not take great pictures in low light.

If you're buying this phone you should already know what you're getting into. It has a subpar camera, but great hardware and a clean, unintrusive build of Android. Currently on Oreo, I'm happy with the speed despite running into a frame drop here or there. The camera isn't too great but I have yet to sideload Google's camera app. I do like the monocrhome sensor. If you're patient with it, you could get some stellar shots. I am kind of annoyed I bought the phone two days before they lowered the price down to 399. So I spent $540 on this phone, but you can get it now for less so just jump right in unless you want to wait to see what Essential has in store...

I love the phone. Took awhile for me to get used to the different features but love it now. Really nice phone with 128 gb memory. I Play a lot of games and this phone is fast. I did have to buy a charger for the car that I believe should have been included.
