Great movie overall. Beautifully shot. Plot is interesting and leaves you wondering with plenty of questions at the end.

great romantic comedy or should i say anti romantic in a way

Very nice looking 4K restoration of an amazing film from Kino Lorber. It includes new 4K restoration, new Dolby Vision/HDR Grade color-graded by cinematographer Ellen Kira’s and commentary by director Michel Gondry and screenwriter Charlie Kaufman with two audio tracks (DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0). The second disc is loaded with extras: New interview with cinematographer Ellen Kuras “Memory Light”, a look inside Eternal Sunshine-step into the minds of the filmmakers in this behind the scenes look at the film, a conversation with Jim Carey and Michel Gondry: The star and director reflect on their favorite on set moments, a conversation with Kate Winslet and Michel Gondry, Inside the mind of the director, Anatomy of a Scene: Saratoga Avenue, deleted and extended scenes, The Polyphonic Spree “Light and Day” music video, Lacuna Infomercial and the theatrical trailer.

Initially I was not expecting too much of an improvement in terms of picture quality for this film, as I used to find the precious Blu-ray serviceable. However, this remastered version gives the film a much more accurate representation of color, and a noticeable improvement in rendering finer details. Even the 1080p Blu-ray that is packed into this set is noticeably better than the old Blu-ray, which seems blown out and oversaturated by comparison. The only gripe I have with this is how there's no chapter select sub menue, and "chapters" are split off through the film in 12 minute increments, making it difficult to skip to a specific scene if you need to. Regardless, this is the best that this film has looked on home media.

My all time favorite movie FINALLY on 4K Blu-ray. The image is the best this film has ever looked. If you've somehow never seen it and are on the fence, do not hesitate to buy this version of a stone cold classic film!

It’s really incompetent & sad that even with online inventory you can’t ever seem to have particular titles available. Especially ones that are not necessarily collectible items likes steelbooks. Pathetic. Do better.
