Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A fitting title for a perfect movie. The movie stars Jim Carrey as Joel, a shy and quiet man whose girlfriend, Clementine (played marvelously by Kate Winslet), has recently erased him from her memory. Heartbroken by this news, he decides to have the same procedure done to him, but soon realizes, while it's already too late, that he truly loves this girl and doesn't want her erased from his memory. With the greatest script I've ever seen - filled with the most romantic and memorable lines - and a great ensemble cast - including Tom Wilkinson, Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo, and Elijah Wood - makes for one of the best love stories ever in movie history. I recommend this movie completely for anyone who loves a good chick flick, or a memorable and moving cinematic experience.

This is a great movie, my wife and I love it! Jim Carrey proves he can do more than just comedy. This movie, (just like Number 23), was rather underrated. I think it's just because people aren't used to seeing Jim Carrey do something other than comedy. The same thing happened when Robin Williams did something other than comedy. People dissed his movies, not because the movie was bad, but because they only wanted to see him in comedies. Now look at all the great noncomedy films he's done. Jim Carrey is having the same problem. People are dissing his films just because they're not comedies. So, just like Robin Williams, Jim Carrey is going to have to do a couple more noncomedies before he's taken seriously by the public and critics. This movie is very intriguing and thought provoking with a very unique and intelligent plot. I highly recommend it! Also, if you haven't seen it, Number 23 is a great movie as well.

I ordered a copy of this film, being somewhat curious as to what all the fuss was about amongst critics when it was released. What a delightful surprise this movie was...it's love story is on a whole other level. The viewer is instantly brought into the sad and depressing life of Joel Barish...but there's more to his story that meets the eye. Soon enough we know that he has come out of a long relationship...but wait, let me stop there. Just watch this movie! I can't explain it because it's so intricate and thought provoking that YOU should watch it and draw your own conclusions. I would definitely recommend this movie.

If you can look past director Michel Gondry’s beautiful imagery, Charlie Kaufman’s quirky script, lush soundtrack, and Jim Carrey & Kate Winslet’s performances, you will find a wonderful love story told in an unconventional way.

I might be a little biased since I was at the end of a long term relationship when I saw this movie, but I believe it's the most honest and raw film about love put to screen.

This is a great movie. Bluray is the way to go for sure. This is Jim Carrey's best performance and a movie worthy of your time.

One of the more memorable movies I've seen. Creative, interesting, at times difficult to watch, though thoroughly enjoyable.
