Customers commend the eufyCam 2 for its excellent camera quality, long battery life, and ease of setup. Positive feedback also highlights the system's effective night vision and convenient local storage option, eliminating the need for cloud subscriptions. However, some users reported inconsistencies with the motion detection feature, suggesting areas for potential improvement. The system's motion detection sometimes fails to capture events or experiences delays in recording.

I’ve had the pleasure of using these cameras for over a month now all around my house and am very pleased with my purchase! Got a great deal for a 3 camera system and they battery life has been great as well as notifications. I do wish they continuously recorded like nest but ofc since they’re not hardwired they are not capable of doing so. Mostly only used to catch movement with 15 ft but now with setting activity zones they’ve done great catching more stuff. Definitely approve and recommend these to anyone looking for a wireless easy, affordable yet legit camera system setup!

I’m so happy with these EufyCam 2 cameras, they work perfectly for my needs. Amazing actually, have them hooked up to a very old router & modem, they synced up fast and the fun started. (Charge each camera first, they take 8 hours to initially charge.) Using an iPhone 11 Pro to view clips & stream remotely. So old tech works with new tech, that’s how you know the equipment is quality. Picked EufyCam 2 because they are HomeKit compatible, soon to work with HomeKit Secure Video... But I’m very happy with the Eufy Security app made for the cameras. Stores plenty of video clips locally for free, that you can download, share, save to phone, computer, copy or send anywhere!
I use cameras to keep an eye on my elderly mother, which gives me peace of mind and an open line of communication. The 2-way audio, talk & listen is loud and clear. I can remind Mom to put her feet up or tell her I’ll be there in 10 minutes.
The motion detection settings are responsive & work good right out of the box. I was originally going to put them outside, but after setting one in living room & one in kitchen, I’ve decided to leave them inside, they seem so much more useful with a view and notification of Mom’s movements through the house.
The wide 140 degree view covers the width of the room corner to corner and is nice and clear. Love this system so much, I purchased another camera and plan on getting more!

Only giving the camera 3 stars because I am still figuring the cameras. The zoom on them are not great, if you zoom too far the camera does not refocus. The cameras does not always pick up movement when it's supposed to be recording. I also don't always get alerts when the camera picks up movement. Don't know that I will recommend due to you may miss something with the spoty recording

Good system but it does need improvement. In particular, the camera range is about half of what the manufacturer claims It is about 75 feet not 150ft,,,, Problem #2. Night vision is troublesome and distance range is cut even further.. Problem #3. Can not adjust time length of home base audible alarm, Problem #4. Unable to operate via Wi Fi.. Had to hard wire. Spent over one hour with Eufy tech support and they could not get it to work System needs refinement.

We love this set so far and plan to buy additional cameras. Installation is super easy. We didn’t want to deal with wires. Quality of video is okay, it could be better. Prefer the night vision from Arlo’s cameras but for the value, you can’t complain about Eufy’s cameras. Also love the free 7-day free storage. You can also download the videos to your phone if needed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a security camera without all the fuss and subscriptions.

This camera is ok not great.
Cons: First of all, the AI that it says it uses to prevent false movements needs improvement. Very often the camera detects motion late. The night vision is alright and not great if you want to see a clear face of someone. I wish we had the storage expansion available already.
Pro: Compared to other camera systems on Uefy it is much quicker to see events recorded because they are saved directly to the homebase and not the cloud. Similarly, it is very quick to connect to live view.
Undecided: when it comes to battery life I am not convinced it is going last 365 days for even if the camera is at my entrance door. It went from 75% to 40% in a month.

This is a decent camera only if you are unable to run a hardwire to your particular location.
Pros:
- No monthly storage fee
- Good daylight recording
Cons:
- Battery life severely exaggerated. Its based on a very short recording length and a low number (15?) of activities per day. Personally, I get a little more than 2 months per charge with 1 minute recording intervals active only at night. I average less than 2 actual recorded events a day.
- Depending on how fast a person or object is travelling, motion activated recording will sometimes only catch the back half of the view.
- Lowlight recording is lackluster; Can only capture clear recordings of slow movement in nearby proximity to the camera. As a person walks away they become blurred after 15ft.
- Poor geofencing options. Cannot select to operate the camera on a schedule when at home and then switch to a different mode when away.
- Promised IFTTT integration never happened
I suggest running PoE cameras in important high traffic areas and save these Eufy cams to use only as supplements to your home security plan.

Love the battery life and no monthly subscriptions. I currently have a mixed system with Arlo and Eufy. Having had Arlo cameras for 5 years I started getting fed up with the increasing fees. So far I am sold on Eufy and will never pay Arlo a dime. I would say naturally the 1080p cameras are obviously a sight drop from the Arlo ultras but you have to pay extra just to download the Ultra videos. So the Eufy cameras are meeting my needs.

I've had this system for several months and I've been quite happy. It's pretty easy to set up.
The big selling points for me was the lack of needing to store anything online and no monthly charge.
I've added a couple more cameras when they went on sale and they were easy to integrate into the system.
One downside to cameras I've look at, including this one, is that they just don't start recording early enough.

I love this camera system. I stated with set of two and now I have 6 cameras in my house. Great picture, good audio. One of the thing I don't like is the mounting components are a little skimpy. I used different brand mounting components that I bought separated. These cameras have better features than Arlo and better quality. I used Arlo before and I had to give them away, too much problem with Arlo. Now I happy with this camera.

No monthly fee, a great pair of security camera with out the monthly subscription. The camera is better that it can also capture clear videos in the low light. Also, the 16GB inbuilt storage it's a lot for the video footage. You can go upto a year. Since I got this camera on 2nd September, and charged it to full, now it's been like 3.5 months and the battery still remain about 70%, awesome
