Anker/Eufy products are always rock solid performers, and this latest outdoor camera is no exception. It’s super easy to setup using the Eufy app; super easy to install using the include base plate which only requires a single screw along with a super strong magnet, and it’s super easy to use. You get 2K streaming and event based recording resolution – more on this in a minute. Quality is great, colors are pretty accurate, white balance can be hit or miss but overall very good. This camera does not connect to their traditional Eufy camera home base, as do most of their other cameras. This camera comes with it’s own on device storage in the form of a 32GB microSD card that comes in the box, but it’s expandable to 128GB. Once it’s powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network, you are able to stream live video, or watch recorded events or scrub the timeline video. The built in spotlight is also very nice, in that it will engage when it senses motion, in order to record all the details in color, and it can also be manually triggered in the app, in the event you want to light up the scene yourself. It does a good job, but because of its size, it can only illuminate so much, and its not a replacement for having good outdoor lighting or a dedicated spotlight. The two way audio was nice and clear, and the new, more advanced on device AI seemed to do a great job of distinguishing people from pets from other activity, which results in less false alarms or unwanted notifications. If you’ve used Eufy products in the past, you know how easy it is to setup and manage through the Eufy Security app. Just power up the camera, scan the QR code on the bottom and its immediately added to your suite of products. If you never used a Eufy home product before, not to worry because they make everything so simple to use and manage. The app allows you to configure all the necessary settings for resolution, recording parameters, notifications and type, create activity zones to trigger event based recordings, update firmware, you name it. With all the good, came a little bit of bad for me, so that I needed to remove a star. The first, is that you cannot record in 2K resolution if you set the camera to 24/7 recording. 2K resolution is only an option if you use the event based recording. If you set the camera to 2K, it will automatically downgrade the recording to 1080p for 24/7 recording. Now this is a big miss for me. I have other Eufy cameras that record in 2K and the quality I knew would be great. So the biggest draw for me, to this camera, was the 2K resolution and 24/7 recording capability. They state the use of 1080p for recorded video is to save space, but if I want to install a larger microSD card, like I did, I should have the option to record in 2K and accept any limited amount of recording duration that is necessary. I really wish I was able to select the resolution that I would like recorded, either for clarity or for length of time, etc. Hopefully this is something they can change in a future firmware update. I would love to record 2K video 24/7. The other miss for me, was the length of the cable. You only get 20’. While that sounds like a lot, it’s not, especially when trying to mount outdoors and hide the cable in a nice, clean way. Indoors, 20’ should be more than enough to find a great spot, but outside, when you’re limited with the number of outlets available, and if you want to run the cable so its not exposed, you need much more. And since it’s just USB cable, I don’t see why they couldn’t have supplied the 20’ cord like they do, and also maybe an additional 20’ extension cable for those that needed it. So simple, but it goes a long way in terms of the ease of use. Overall, this is a great new camera from Eufy. Solid performer as expected, with just a couple slight drawbacks that keep it from being a home run.

In search of a subscription free home security camera, and this is the one for me. The Eufy Security 2K camera has been great. The camera is simple and easy to use and install. The picture clarity is nice and works efficiently. This camera offers 2K resolution along with a built in spotlight for auto sensing or manual activation. It has a lot of nice features that keep this feeling like a premium product for home security. 32GB micro SD card is included with this to help keep your on board memory storage for viewing purposes. This is a wifi camera, but will need a power outlet to keep it powered and fortunately it comes with an ample 20 foot power cable, and the magnetic mount to hang this up against your home. The microphone/speaker allow for a 2 way conversation to occur and the spotlight can help to deter intruders. I have this set for outdoor use and have been able to keep an eye on my front entrance. The IP67 weather resistant design gives me peace of mind to be able to use this outdoor. The app can be customized with the various features to be able to detect motion, person detection, pet detection. The app also allows you to set a customized zone to make that your hot zone to keep track of things happening within that area. This camera is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and both Android and Apple devices. This app has been a really user friendly app to use and provides good notifications with small thumbnails of a person if that's what has triggered it. The camera itself is compact and looks pretty nice without being bulky or intrusive. Overall a great camera and user experience. I'll recommend this to others and will be adding more Eufy cameras to my ecosystem.

1st day it was great!!! 2nd day everything is purple/pink and stuck in IR cut. whatever that means. seems like stuck in night vision mode or something. Being disable I cant just grab an shake it to resolve this issue per Eufy support

I set it up on Saturday, it worked fine for 1 day! Now the screen is a pink color, and it won't detect anything. I tried talking with tech support, they kept switching me to a different tech, half an hour of that, with no answers!! I have to return it, 25 miles away, I'm so mad!!! Also the outdoor plug is just a regular plug, it sure isn't weatherproof!!

The Eufy Outdoor camera is a star in my book. There are many possibilities for its use and it's size and flexible hanging capabilities make this a great addition to home security. Pros: - Easy to set up/install/use - Great app, very similar to other "mini" camera apps - Very, very responsive to movements - Prompt notifications when motion is detected - Pet and Person detection - Customizable detection zone (to avoid getting too many unnecessary notifications). - Great two-way communication Cons: - Image quality can vary greatly depending on placement, lighting, time of day, etc. I wouldn't hold this against the Eufy camera - it's just worth noting and knowing. Don't count on it for reading license plates (as an example) or other fine details. Overall, this is a great camera to add (or start) to a connected home. It does what it is designed to do well and is very easy to use. I would highly recommend this camera!

eufy Outdoor Cam 2k Spotlight Wired This security camera category is very competitive. Models having the most features and that are easiest to use usually get the most attention from buyers like me. So, let’s get down to the reasons why this EUFY Floodlight Cam 2K will be a favorite. This model camera DOES NOT require any other EUFY equipment to operate. It is a stand-alone camera and spotlight. It DOES NOT require a cloud account to save video clips of security events, BUT you can subscribe to one if desired (EUFY encrypted online storage). This model has BUILT IN LOCAL STORAGE and EUFY includes a 32GB SD CARD in the package (and up to 128GB may be used). [There are instructions describing how to use your own local NAS.] This model EUFY DOES NOT require batteries because it is powered with its included USB brick and a very lengthy cable that will get to a vantage point of your preference. SETUP is very easy and without any drama. On the first try I was able to download the App, set up an account and mount the camera onto my Wi-Fi by pressing a concealed (but easy to find) button. Inserting the SD CARD required formatting the card, which is managed by the software. My only complaint about the EUFY setup is the occasional insertion of verification by captcha-like dialog boxes. They are NOT in any way readable if you are in the iPhone DARK mode. Ugh. In fact, even in LIGHT mode I had to reload the scrambled letters multiple times to read a useful code. Ugh. C’mon EUFY. Ditch this silliness. Mounting the camera in a desirable location is easy and flexible with the ingenious mount. The circular base is a couple of inches wide and requires only a single screw. It’s has a powerful magnet which allows quick, easy and flexible orientation of the camera. The software allows you to flip the image if you’re mounting from a ceiling or under an eave. It appears to be rugged and waterproof. PERFORMANCE: I’m going to direct you to my included images to see the crisp, bright clarity the camera provides. Right after I set it up it was capturing my kitchen scene. It’s sharp, bright, contrasty images reveal all the detail you might want. The other images are screen shots of the software-based adjustments, which are numerous and allow a customized security experience for any user’s purpose. EUFY has even created several collections of alarm behaviors which you can choose (HOME or AWAY or DISARMED or GEOFENCING or SCHEDULED or CUSTOMIZED) to allow immediate operation. (I do wish you could add some more of the many available parameters to each mode to expand their usefulness.) They are all somewhat modifiable and they certainly simplify your experience. Event recordings are similarly easy to manage as is the entire recording feature. SUMMARY: For such a small and inconspicuous device, this Eufy security camera is jammed with useful, flexible, easy-to-use features. The SPOTLIGHT is quite bright but we haven’t decided whether it is alone is adequate for our yard. The camera is definitely up to the job. This is one of those security solutions that should appeal to a casual do-it-yourselfer who simply wants to monitor an area inside or outside, and have complete control over the camera/spotlight’s behavior ….. all at ZERO ongoing cost. Adding any number of additional devices to your location is easily accomplished. And there is an App to monitor and manage it all. I think this should appeal to lots of my fellow consumers.

I’ve had and still have a few different security cameras and Eufy is my favorite by far. This is my third Eufy camera, my other two are the 2c battery powered cameras. Some companies have apps that work seamlessly with their product and Eufy is one of them. I’ve had my other two cameras for about a year and when accessing the video feed in the app, it’s always consistent and quick. The cameras always load within a few seconds of launching the app and at the end of the day that’s important for a security camera. Even if you’re not tech savvy, you can have a Eufy camera up and running in 5 to 10 minutes at the most. The camera attaches to the base magnetically which makes it easy to adjust it. This model also has sound detection built in to detect babies crying. If you want an easy, reliable and affordable security camera ecosystem, Eufy is the way to go.

The store told me it paired to the memory box for door bell. It does not it has a memory chip inside camera. I want add on camera for the memory box and cloud. Not a memory card in camera.

I set the camera up for my backyard so I can see my dog when he is out there. The setup is easy and since the camera attaches using a magnet I was easily able to hang it up on a metal pole I have out there. Going into the app and setting everything up was also easy. On the positive side, the camera comes with an SD card so you can store things right on it and don't need to save or pay for cloud storage. It's also pretty responsive considering this is a wifi camera. Video quality is good, and sound is also good though the speaker to talk out the camera is a little quiet. The camera is also very small, so it doesn't take a lot of room. There are two things though that I find missing. First, the camera is for outdoor and itself is waterproof, however, the plug to power the camera is not. Since you need to power the camera, it's odd that you'd include a plug that needs to be covered. The second part that's missing is the ability to connect directly to apple homekit. Sure the app works well but with the recent security issues of the eufy app, it would be nice to be able to skip it and only use homekit. Overall if you have other eufy cameras or looking for a decent and easy setup outdoor camera, this is a decent camera. But especially the plug not being water proof is odd to me.

I picked this up as a replacement for a SoloCam S220 which I was not too happy with after a few months, and honestly, this wired camera is way better than a wireless camera that struggled to charge itself with its solar panel. The power cord is a generous length so it should give you enough flexibility to mount it beyond your outdoor outlet, however the brick that the USB plugs into is a bit bulky. I had a spare brick from some random device that was a bit smaller and was able to fit in my covered outlet better than the one included with the camera, and everything's still powered well. Motion capture definitely works, although a little too well. I have the camera set to only detect & alert when humans and pets move into view, but every so often the camera's AI will flag nonliving objects as human. The app gives you the option to mark these events as incorrect, but only up to 10 events can be marked. The AI is supposed to learn from these mistakes, but so far in my experience, has failed to do so. I'm not certain if adding the Eufy HomeBase would remedy this, and at this point I'm not ready to spend an additional $150 to test that out. The spotlight on the camera seems at first like it's underpowered when you're outside and see it light up, but honestly it makes a huge difference when recording at night, automatically switching from night vision to clear color on the recording. The camera comes with an SD card to insert and record its events to, but the instruction booklet does not indicate which way to orient the card when inserting (spoiler: if you think you're inserting it right side up, you're incorrect). The card my camera came with lasted for about a month before it ended up not working whatsoever, and I had to pick up a Samsung Pro Endurance card recently to replace the faulty one. Despite its quirks and flaws, I'd say this camera is still much better than a TP-Link camera I previously owned, and is more cost-efficient and flexible than Ring or Nest.

We just set up our Eufy Outdoor Cam, the pups keep getting into the yard and eating grass. So we want to be able to see them in the bamboo and the grass. It will hopefully also help to deter intruders if that were to happen. We were excited about Eufy's feature of local storage and how secure the camera could be. We will see how this pans out. Installation and setup were done in a jiffy. Overall it probably took about 10 minutes to mount the camera, download the app, set up a profile, and tailor the view using all of the features. Of course we turned on the pet feature because of the two bulldogs! The difference with Eufy's camera and others is the magnet is strong and so easy to adjust which we love because based on the time of year we'll be able to move it easily. Another great feature is the prong to connect the camera to power has a small rubber connector that protects the wiring from getting wet. The actual wire provided is quite lengthy and thin so it gave us the ability to run the camera as far as we needed and we'll be able to disguise or subtly hide it along the side of the house. It is pouring here in Texas today so it was the perfect day to test the humidity factor against the weatherproofing factor. It has held up pretty great so far and unfortunately you won't see the dogs because they refused to go potty and get their paws wet! A great camera for your backyard and lastly, if you do find yourself capturing an intruder it was so neat to see the facial recognition component and how the app zooms in and creates a cutout of the person's face! Very, very impressed!

I have several of these cameras around the outside of my house. This is the latest one as it replaced a camera meant for indoor use, and I wanted this one to blend in more to my porch. I also have several battery powered Eufy cams, but I really do prefer these wired cams if you have access to wire them. Image quality is great, and I like that a micro sd card is a storage option. The spotlight is actually quite powerful, and lights up the entire area when it comes on. I have also been impressed with motion detection, and the Eufy app is real nice as you can select the type of motion to detect, along with other settings. Overall, I recommend this camera if you have the ability to wire it to power.

Excellent camera. Very clear video and recordings. Nice long plug in cable gives you plenty of option to put it. Good night vision with spotlight. App is easy to use. Notifications are pretty fast. Live interaction with visitors is ok...speaker us pretty cler and loud....slight delay about 2 to 3 seconds as I would expect sometimes being in a different town or state. Overall a very good camera.

I'd never heard of Eufy before but when this opportunity came up, I figured I'd give it a try. I am not disappointed. In the box is the camera, 20 ft power chord, mounting hardware and 32g Micro SD card. Unboxed everything and discovered a pretty clever magnetic mounting device that came with several mounting options. I downloaded the app, created an account, powered the unit on and within seconds of getting it on my WiFi, it was up and running. Easy as could be. Started messing around with it and it has simple interface that allows for multiple settings including microphone, motion detection, camera orientation, recording options, storage and notifications. Simple. A couple cool features are the 2-way audio that you can have a conversation with whoever is near the camera. It also allows for live viewing. The spotlight is a hit or miss. I personally don't have it set to on, but some people may prefer that. Depends on user and environment. At first glance, it has a blue light that is on constantly until you record and then it switches to flashing. I personally don't like this because it draws attention to the camera. Some may prefer this. Good news, they give you the option to turn that off. You can add multiple other devices from Eufy so future expansion is quick and easy. End of the day, this is a solid unit and I would easily recommend it to a friend. **PLEASE NOTE*** This was provided to me in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. Pros: Good optics and 2k resolution Decent IR night vision Bright spotlight (automatically activates on AI motion detection - e.g., person) Fairly reliable human detection (not flawless, but pretty good) On-device AI - fast and no need for subscription Sensitive mic Issues: Magnetic mount with cable retainer isn't the most secure (especially considering that there is no base or cloud, so storage is on-device!) Power cable is a hassle - especially since provided USB power adapter isn't outdoor rated! I ended up replacing my outdoor power outlet with one featuring built-in USB ports. Fortunately, these are now available with GFCI protection as well. But this added $40, plus the cost of a new outdoor cover, and installation effort. I also bought a grey flat power cable for cosmetics. Summary: Eufy is almost unique in offering no monthly fee cameras. That's the draw. But they offer only a few wired-power models - and weirdly, those they do are solo models with no homebase support. Homebase plus the option of permanent power would be an attractive combination, but this is the closest we get. Indoor cameras follow this pattern as well (and, oddly, the indoor wired cam C22 doesn't seem to be available at Best Buy). One last note: The Eufy app is decent but suffers from two MAJOR flaws: first, it is laden with offers, promotions and ads. They're all from Eufy for related products but this is still unwelcome. Second, and even worse, it is a battery pig, at least in some device/version combinations. Before I set Android to stifle it in the background, it regularly consumed 30% of my battery each day with minimal use. And that's on a Note9, which is a battery monster. Supposedly setting Android to put the app to sleep will delay notifications, but I haven't been able to test that yet. It has solved the power consumption problem.

Used about three weeks, recording suddendly turn pink, fuzzy, pixel. This is after 15 days bestbuy return policy. The eufy floodlight works better than this unit. Others customer was right about this unit turning so called "pink". Don't recommend this Eufy c24.

Dont leave it out in direct sunlight. It will kill the camera and Eufy will give you HARD TIME for an exchange.

Works as advertised - Easy set up - great video quality night or day with good and adjustable sensitivity. Wanted something that did not need batteries and connected to local Wi-Fi without needing to pay a subscription fee. Met our needs. Gives almost instant notification when someone comes up the walk towards our front door.
