Customers admire the excellent video quality, ease of use, and impressive battery life of the Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell. Many also appreciate the straightforward installation process and the included storage options. However, some users find the motion detection unreliable and experience delays in notifications or app response. A few also commented on the doorbell's larger size compared to wired models.

The doorbell unit and the app are very easy to use. App send notifications quickly. Recordings are good quality, the local storage was a huge deciding factor for my purchase.
The biggest downside would be the relatively limited range of the homebase. It uses it's own wireless signal to communicate with the doorbell camera but requires an ethernet connection. This required me to add additional ethernet access points at home, but once that was all sorted it works well.
Eufy should develop a range extender

This doorbell is the best one on the market I have seen. After a month of use, it has the best camera. The 2k camera is picture perfect every time. Easy to install. And best of all no monthly fees! Now there are only two cons. You will need a good internet plan and a well lighted porch if you want to see in color at night.

Doorbell works great and captures anyone approaching the door. Two way voice if you choose to speak to person at door. Can tailor view easily through downloaded app. Easy to install. I’m using unwired so need to pop doorbell out every few months to recharge it rechargeable battery. App notifies me when charge is needed. I get 2-3 months min on a charge. Found charging works best when charged while connected to its base.

Nice Doorbell Camera

I wired this into where my old doorbell was. Specifically wanted a doorbell camera that would be able to have its battery charged while operating and also would be able to work my manual bell on the inside. This camera has allowed both to operate normally by being directly wired. The camera is nice. Sometimes I fee like it has problem with its IR sensor when there is light involved at night. But for the most part the camera operates and records wonderfully. Having the storage stored locally on the Homebase was a big plus for me as I am not big on the whole cloud storage thing. I have run into a problem just recently where the camera microphone has quit worming and I am dealing with Eufy on this issue currently. First contact with their department has been good. I am just 4 months outside of their 12 month warranty so I am waiting for response if this fix will be fully covered or if I am on my own. I called into the warranty department and wasn’t on hold for more than 10 seconds and dealt with a very attentive employee. Crossing my fingers that they will rectify the issue as the camera otherwise is in tiptop form. Just can’t hear a thing except hissing from the mic now. Very unfortunate.

A friend recommended the Eufy line of security cameras, primarily because there is no monthly subscription fee for recording videos, and, the videos stay in the home base unit vs. having to be uploaded to "the cloud." 2K video quality is really nice. The battery life on this camera leaves a little to be desired -- I get about 3 weeks on a charge, which is not great, but acceptable. Solidly built, easy to set up, and easy to use.

Was looking for a smart video door bell without recurring charges. Eufy is the one place to stop for. Awesome video quality, very good in sensor, extremely easy to install and setup like 1-2-3 and done. Had a couple of questions, contacted Best buy and they helped me navigate through it. One word - Super awesome.

No subscription necessary! I was going to replace my old Ring with the higher resolution Ring, but came across this. The first one I bought did not work at all, but the replacement worked well. Super easy to install, and the 2K Images are very good and sharp, and responds as quick if not quicker than the old Ring at much lower resolution. Besides no subscription, there is also the option for local storage.

Really pleased with this doorbell. I’d be over the moon if it supported Apple HomeKit.
Word of warning, if you choose “best surveillance” under power management, expect it to only last ~30 days on a charge.
Love that it is battery powered as I have it on my outside gate and I didn’t have to run power out there. Works reliably for me. Image is very clear, night is better than expected.

Great doorbell camera. I had a Ring Doorbell 2 and this one is much better in terms of image quality. Best part is not having to pay monthly/yearly fees to see your recordings as they are stored in the Homebase. Very easy to set up. Notifications usually come very fast to the phone. The Homebase also acts as a chime as well so no need to buy a chime with this.

Hands down the best video doorbell on the market. It was super simple to use, has excellent quality, motion sensing and night vision. It pairs with other products by Eufy like their cameras and alarm system. Great for wired and wireless set ups.
The biggest win here is that you don't need to pay for cloud storage!

I went with the battery powered for the data hub. We plan on buying more security cameras from eufy. Picture quality is great sound is good. Night vision on the camera is fantastic. I wired mine in and immediately it worked with existing door bell. I can cast the door bell to my TV through my Google nest mini. This might be one of the coolest things I've ever purchased

Its been about 3 weeks since I purchased the Eufy smart doorbell. I found the instructions to set up and install the doorbell very easy to follow. I really like the fact the there is a base inside that stores the data. There is no monthly fee unlike others I checked out. I am very happy with both the video and audio quality. I would definitely buy it again!

Super easy to install, instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, and everything worked flawlessly right off the bat.
The camera quality itself is really good, the detections/notifications work great, and it's priced very competitively vs other products with similar functionality.
Love this doorbell; couldn't ask for anything more.

Very impressed by the picture quality, and battery life. For context I have it recording 2K, and the battery lasts 30-40 days. Anker also updates the app software all the time so it is constantly improving which is a huge plus. Overall would highly recommend, and will continue to use their security products in the future.

Easy to use app, great video quality, great video field of view, and great motion/person detection. Initial pairing with the homebase was a bit tricky, it's not clearly specified how close the homebase has to be (or I couldn't find it). I also had to open the windows and door for the camera to hear the initial pairing homebase ping.

Like the idea that this is wireless with the option to wire it. The camera is clear. App works great. Audio is great. No cloud payment. Downside is the recording. The motion is icky. Will sometimes record and other times not. Even on the highest setting for the motion. Would recommend if you’re willing to put up with the downsides.

Eufy may not be the first name you think of when it comes to video doorbells - but it should be!
There are several brands to choose from in the video doorbell technology space. Eufy has entered this market with a solid contender, and should be at the top of your list.
In the box you will find the Eufy Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, HomeBase2 hub, mounting hardware (including cables), angled mounting plate, quick start guide, and Eufy security window stickers. A screwdriver is about the only tool you will need for installation.
Upon opening the box you can instantly see this device is aesthetically pleasing and a solid build. Nothing flimsy here. There is some weight to this video doorbell, and it feels well-made and durable.
There are two options for installation - hard-wired to your existing doorbell wiring setup, or wirelessly (battery powered). I personally chose not use my existing wiring, and go with the internal (6500mAh) battery powered option. Eufy states with average use, expected battery life is approximately six months between charges. I also opted to use the 15 degree angled mounting plate which is included. Whether to use the angled or flush mounted plate will be determined by your mounting location and the view you wish to obtain.
Installation was incredibly simple and took about fifteen minutes. Again, all cables, wires, and hardware are included in the box. Props to Eufy for putting their users first. No getting the device home only to find you need to return to the store for some random accessory that was not included. It's all here. Essentially you download the Eufy app (iOS or Android), create a Eufy Security account, plug in the HomeBase2 hub and connect it to your router (cables included), choose your mounting location, pair the doorbell with the hub, and you're set. The app will guide you seamlessly through the steps.
There are some improvements that could be made to the UI of the associated app. The app is feature packed and definitely allows you to control your video doorbell settings, as well as setup new devices. This is also where you will receive notifications, alerts, communicate with those at your door, view, and manage the recordings. However, navigating the app is not the most intuitive. I found both the iOS and Android versions to be a little less than clear on where to go to access certain features. So Eufy could definitely make improvements to the navigation structure. With all that said though, all the features you need and want are there. Just keep in mind there might be a bit of a learning curve initially.
Once installed, motion detection is generally quite good. Eufy utilizes AI to differentiate between human detection versus animal, vehicle, or other motion. I have had no "false" detections such as passing vehicles. I have noticed that people are detected, and video recording begins, when subjects are approximately 10' - 12' away. There have been a couple of instances where detection was not picked up until much closer and video recording seemed to start late. But this has been the exception, not the rule. Notifications come across to your phone (app) quickly.
With 2K WDR and a 4:3 aspect ratio, I have found images and videos to be extremely clear. This is true even at night. Utilizing IR, the Eufy video doorbell does a great job picking up motion, even in very low light conditions. All videos are stored locally on the HomeBase2, so there are no monthly subscription fees. Eufy does offer cloud storage for a fee if you prefer, but this is absolutely not required. The HomeBase2 has 16GB of eMMC flash memory, which should be more than enough storage for the typical user. The number of videos able to be stored internally will vary depending upon the video quality and duration. Of note, recorded videos are limited to a maximum length of 1 minute.
At any time, using the app you can see a live view from your doorbell. Two way communication is also available while using the live view option, as well as while responding to an alert (someone rings your doorbell, delivery, etc.). Audio is clear, and does not appear to have much lag time.
Eufy also has integration with both Alexa and Google, which both work quite well.
Overall, I am really impressed with Eufy Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell. A solid build and full of features. I would like to give this 4.5 stars but the rating system doesn't allow for that. With some app UI updates, and just a little improvement on detection, this could easily be a 5 star review.
I have no issue recommending this device to anyone, friends and family included. Eufy has put out a fantastic video doorbell that has quickly become one of my favorite household tech devices. Solid work, Eufy!

I purchased my video doorbell on June 9 and installed it after charging it. The unit worked well out of the box. On about June 29, I had to contact Eufy because of a distinct pink hue that the picture developed. The picture of my front door is exceptionally clear but the colors are wrong. I contacted the people at Eufy and we worked our way to the point that the unit had to be replaced. Once I submitted proof of purchase, the manufacturer began the process of ordering a replacement. That was a reasonable process.
I enjoyed using the unit until it developed this problem. I like the fact that you are not paying for another service to store your data and that the data is stored locally. I also like the way that other people can access the doorbell from their tablets and such.
Had the unit not developed the problem, I would've given it 5 stars.
