The Euhomy - 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator from Best Buy is basically a refrigerated ice chest, as it resembles an ice chest more than a refrigerator. Semantics aside, it’s a very well built hard plastic cooler, and it doesn’t need ice because it cools itself. About a quarter of the length of the cooler is taken up by the cooling section. Its longest dimension is 24-inches, and the cooling portion takes up just under a third of that, making it somewhat heavy on that side when carrying. The exterior feels rugged and able to handle some abuse with its tough plastic outer shell. As stated, the volume is 21 quarts, but I found it wasn’t tall enough to hold a plastic gallon container of milk upright. It would be nice if it could do that, but it will work if you lay the container on its side. It has no problem holding a 24-pack of eggs. The reason I mention that is because our primary purpose of getting the Euhomy car refrigerator is to safely transport our cold items from the grocery store to home. If everything fits, we can take our time getting home and not worry about our food getting warm in the car. The unit is powered by a standard 110v plug or a 12v car plug. Both are included and plug into the cooler with a proprietary plug, so make sure to label your plugs and don’t lose them. Euhomy adds battery protection circuitry so that you won’t wear down your car battery. Controls can be found on the cooler itself, but I find it much easier to use their smartphone app that communicates using Bluetooth. I was a little concerned when I searched for the app as it doesn’t say “Euhomy”. Instead, it’s called “Outdoor Joy”, but it works well and provides a simple easy-to-use interface to set the temperature, battery protection level, and a read-out of the current temperature. I plugged it in with the temperature showing 90 deg-F (stored in the garage) and it quickly cooled to 34 deg-F in about 15 minutes. I proceeded to drop the temperature down to 0 (zero) and that took another 15-20 minutes. Quite impressive! It also comes with a ice-pack divider that will help keep your items cold longer without power. You can pre-freeze it as well to get a jumpstart on cooling. There is also a shallow built- tray area on one side that I presume can be used for smaller items that you want to keep cold like chocolate candy bars, etc. Operation is very quiet and almost inaudible, so it won’t disturb anyone if you use it for camping. The lid seals with a satisfying click, ensuring a good seal. I decided to add a portable battery station that provides both 110v and 12v, so I can have the unit working wherever I choose to go and not rely on finding power or using the car’s battery. Now I can even use it at home in the event of a power outage and keep our most expensive frozen meats from getting ruined. It has features two power settings, max (45 Watts) for quick cooling and Eco (28 Watts) to save battery life for extended use. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the quality and features of the Euhomy Car Refrigerator and I expect it will see lots of use on our weekly trips to the grocery store, attending our grandson’s outdoor soccer, and for backup refrigeration should we ever need it. Lastly, it’s really nice to have a cooler and never have to worry about going to the store and getting bags of ice. It might not replace our ice chest for every occasion, but it’s perfect in most cases.

When the box first arrived I was tempted to plug it right in and get it cooling to see how it worked but I read in the manual that it needs to sit upright for 24 hours to allow any refrigerant oil to settle so as not to cause damage to the compressor. The unit was delivered to my work and was standing on its end when I saw it so I elected to follow the manual and wait. Oil won’t compress so since you don’t know how it was handled in transit it might be better to just wait even if yours arrived upright. Which gave me time to go pick up ice cream sandwiches for research purposes!! And download the Outdoor Joy app to my phone. After the wait, I plugged it in using the provided 120v AC cord. I connected through the app which was easy and allows you to control the unit from a distance. It showed it was set to 32 degrees and was currently at 75 degrees, room temperature at my house. To have a separate reading, I placed a thermocouple inside the unit, suspended in about the middle and not touching the sides. In 21 minutes the unit was showing it was at temp and the thermocouple was showing 33 degrees. I pulled several 17 oz water bottles from our kitchen fridge and placed them in the unit, a dozen fit with a little room to spare. I left the unit to run for four hours, checking in on the temp every once in a while. I did notice that when set to 32 degrees on the control panel, the thermocouple reading would swing from about 28 degrees to right about 39 degrees before it would cycle back on and cool down. I feel this is normal and it’s the same thing I see on the remote thermometers in our house fridges and freezers. What I did find odd was that the display on the unit or app showed the set temp the whole time once it reached temperature and not the actual temp. I tried placing the same amount of water bottles in it but with the bottles at room temperature and after an hour it was not really cooling the water yet. Based on that I would recommend that you refrigerate your food ahead of time and then place the food in the unit and I think it will work best that way. I wanted to try it with something frozen since it’s rated to get down to -4 degrees. I plugged it in and set the temp to -4. After about an hour and twenty minutes my thermocouple was showing 8 degrees. I placed the ice cream sandwiches in the unit and left it to run. After a couple hours it was getting up to about 85 degrees outside so I shut the unit off and swapped cords for the powerpoint plug. I placed the unit in the back seat of my truck, plugged it in and turned it back on. With the truck closed up and sitting in the sun it was probably about 90 degrees where the fridge was sitting but the temp stayed right about zero degrees. I saw it go as low as -1.3 and it stayed below 1 degree until the setting sun dropped low enough to shine through the truck window on the cooler itself. Then it went to 3 degrees. I had ran it for about seven hours at this point and I had finished cutting the grass by now so I thought we should test those ice cream sandwiches. I’m happy to report that they were just as firm as if they had been in the kitchen fridge freezer the whole time. It worked great even sitting in a hot truck! I like that it has sturdy, molded in handles to lift it and it should be noted that it doesn’t weigh as much as our cooler loaded with ice. It also doesn’t make everything soggy like a cooler with ice will. I can see this being our new roadtrip companion since it will hold enough drinks for three or four people for the day or two people with lunch and snacks for a day trip.

We love to go camping but hate having to deal with keeping coolers filled with ice - the food always gets soggy and wet. I struggled with older refrigerated coolers that used electronics and an aluminum plate for cooling - while they usually kept items “cool” they never really got cold. This Euhomy portable refrigerator changes everything. On the outside, the build quality is top notch and solid. The compressor has slight movement but this is a good thing as it sits on dampers to help keep the noise down. Speaking of noise, this cooler is very quiet. You can hear it in a silent room but in the back of my SUV it's unnoticeable. I really like how the lid is done. Rather than attached hinges, the lid comes completely off, allowing you to reverse sides depending on your packing situation. The clamp holds tight on either side without worry. You get both the 12 volt and 110 volt power cords but the cooler uses a non-standard plug so be careful not to lose them. I do like that the plug is a right angle plug - making it easier to pack the cooler in a loaded trunk. On the inside, it is small! There is the larger main compartment and a smaller shelf above the compressor for smaller, delicate items and to hold the cords when not in use. The water-filled ice pack slides on rails in the center of the compartment, cutting it in half and taking up a good amount of usable space. Speaking of space, the interior is about an inch too short to hold a gallon milk jug or large water or soda bottles. In my mind, this is an easy fix due to the lid coming off. Offer a replacement raised lid with bump out to increase the vertical storage height enough for these items. Controls - the cooler is operated via the four-button control panel or the app. The app is bluetooth only so you do need to be somewhat close to the cooler to operate it. You can choose your temperature from -4 to 68 degrees. Usefulness - due to the size, it's pretty clear this was designed for road trips where you have a few bottles or cans of soda and a couple of sandwiches for lunch. Due to the height, you can not stand up gallon milk jugs or large bottles of water. I set the unit to 0 degrees and it took more than a few hours to freeze the included ice pack mostly solid and overnight for completely solid. I measured the chamber temp and it was consistently about 10 degrees higher than the display said. I don't see this as a fault as the refrigeration coils are behind the plastic and there are no fans to circulate the cold air. Overall, I am really pleased with this car refrigerator and have recommended it to all my camping friends. Five stars

We’ve never had an electric cooler for the car. In fact, we didn’t know they existed before my brother-in-law put one in their Tesla. I thought it was an awesome idea, but assumed it was an electric-vehicle thing and not meant for gas vehicles like ours. But then I came across this one. The Euhomy 21qt cooler. I was excited to try it out because we do several road trips throughout the spring, summer, and fall. After unboxing, I was a bit surprised by the plastic construction. Sure, that’s what most coolers are made of, but I was expecting more high-quality materials than an average cooler. The quality of the hard plastic is so good that I'm not super concerned about it, and I think it should hold up well under heavy use. Maybe I was expecting stainless steel on the inside instead? It has no obvious moving parts and no fragile feel, but the plastic doesn’t look premium. It’s light enough, however, for stronger kids to carry. The locking lid remains secure and can be easily removed for cleaning or to access the interior. Another aspect that surprised me was the lack of space in the interior. Now, I realize it is a 21 qt cooler, so its capabilities are obvious, but when you open it, the battery takes up a lot of space. And the interior height is low too, so you really have to do some puzzle-solving to fit as much as you can in there by layering and putting items in sideways. Although the capacity is acceptable, the internal height is a bit insufficient. For us, this isn’t a major issue because we prioritize what goes in it versus what goes into one of our “normal” coolers. Still, I’d love more room, so if you have a choice to go larger, go larger. After unboxing it, I filled the internal ice pack with water, slid it back into the interior spot, and turned the unit on. You can decide how low you want the temp, but I set ours to 32 degrees farehneit to test it and see how long it takes to reach that temp when plugged in. Now, I didn’t stand there and time it; I went inside to get a few chores done, then came back about 15 minutes later, and it was at 32. That’s pretty impressive, especially considering it could have been even quicker, as I don’t know how long it was at 32. However, if you’re trying to cool this down outside in 90+ weather, I’m sure it takes longer. Or, if you go all the way down to -4, it states it can go. I’m sure that takes a while, but if you need it for the next day, plan ahead and plug it in and set it the day before. We have a Honda Ridgeline with a regular 12v outlet in the bed of the truck, so it’s great to keep this secured and plugged in there, and then unplug it when we arrive at camp, for example. You can also use the included car adapter for inside the vehicle, but we usually take the truck on our trips, so it works better for us in the bed. All in all, I think the cooler is a great buy if you are going to use it frequently. As I said before, though, I’d go bigger if you can afford it. The price seems reasonable for an electric cooler, considering other options out there. At $136 (currently on sale), it’s a decent value. I just wish it were higher quality. I’d love to see it differentiate itself from normal coolers more in the design and materials.

I've had several car coolers and refrigerators, but they all were pretty much a novelty with minimal function. The Euhomy car refrigerator does what it says and works well, but it has one small caveat that stops me from giving it a perfect rating. I'll save that for last. We start with the build. Hard plastic and very sturdy. I have no problem lugging it around, throwing it into my truck, and keeping it moving. I do not hear any moving parts, nor do I feel like the unit is fragile. The locking lid stays closed and is easily removed for cleaning and/or for easy access to the cabin of the refrigerator. For its capabilities, it's relatively light, but of course, once filled, it can pack some weight. It has a good capacity, but I'm slightly disappointed in the height. In the pictures that I posted below, those are two 1.5-liter bottles. You could lay them flat, which would take up the entire length of the cabin space, but you could not stand them up. Where that becomes a problem is that I usually like to have a gallon water jug. While I can lay the gallon jug flat, it's just a tad too short to stand up, so I lose a lot of cubic space for a few inches. I don't necessarily count this as a negative because the advertised space is true to the description, but I just wanted to let you know in case you're a gym nut like me and looking to throw a couple of water jugs into this cooler. Another claim that I put to the test is how long you could keep cold food in the unit before it loses all its cooling. I tested this by throwing a couple of frozen 1.5-liter water bottles into the cooler overnight in temperatures above 80°F. In the morning, at least 12 hours later, the bottles were still frozen solid and the unit was still cool. Even the frozen divider that comes with the unit was still rock solid. That's a great sign for anyone keeping this for emergency outages. This is also great for the seal, as it shows it is tight and will keep your food and drinks cold if you want to use the power intermittently. You have both power options, both through a wall outlet and through your car. While the home outlet draws slightly more power, which means faster setup, 12 volts gives plenty of power to take care of what you need. Since this uses minimal power to function, I have no problem leaving it plugged into the car. It does appear to have a last-setting function that, when you plug it in, automatically starts chilling to the last temperature before the power went off or you turned your car off. I don't know if this is the app resyncing and reconfiguring it or if it's built in. I just know that once I turn it on, it automatically goes back to the last setting. The app itself is pretty basic, and it uses Bluetooth. Keep it close, and it turns on so you can control the temperature from the app. This is great if the refrigerator is in the back of the car and you want to change the temperature or start dropping it for freezing. You can do it right through the app, and I've had 90% success with connecting it. The one time it failed, I just tried again and it connected. That's been pretty solid. Here's the main negative. The unit can reach -4°F. It's just that it has to be under ideal conditions to do so. The ambient temperature can't be too high, the vents can't have anything surrounding them, and it takes longer for the cabin to reach that temperature. I had the unit on for a day and a half before it actually reached the freezing point. The room it was in was over 80°F, and for the most part, it was unobstructed. Once it did reach the freezing point, it had no problem staying there as long as the unit was powered on. Lol, after further testing, this has been inconsistent. Now it reaches it faster, and sometimes it's the same. I'm not sure why it's doing that, but I just want to note that if the 45-minute freezing claim is something you depend on, I can't say that I've had that happen with 100% consistency. It will get there, but it takes longer than advertised. Just wanted to note that. Other than that, I'm very happy with the unit. It serves a great purpose, and it keeps my drinks cold and the things I need to stay frozen. Once it's there, it does a great job with that too. This isn't a novelty, and it would be great for trips or just having it around in your car on the go. Would I recommend this? Absolutely, especially if you like outings, beach trips, or even just want to keep it as a backup for power outages. It does the trick.

It is mainly made to be used in cars... The Euhomy car refrigerator promises portable, compressor-driven cooling on the go. Unlike older classics that rely on a thermal Peltier element, this uses a real compressor. In testing, the fridge cooling engine was impressive, dropping down to deep freeze temperatures and reaching a real -18C (with the display set to -20C on MAX mode). However, the insulation is not that great. I've taken thermal images, and they clearly show heat leakage around the top lid seal and the upper body edges. Another test I performed was cooling it down to its maximum freezing level and then turning it off with a thermometer placed inside. The temperature started climbing toward 0C in about 24 minutes. Once turned back on, it took roughly 20 minutes to get back down to -17C. That cooling speed is indeed impressive! Pros: - Fast and powerful active cooling: It rapidly reaches deep freezing temperatures when powered up. - Compact and lightweight: The 21 Qt capacity hits a great sweet spot, making it easy to carry and store in your car's trunk or back seat. - Power options: It comes with a 110-220V AC wall adapter and also works on 12-24V DC vehicle plugs, complete with settings to protect your car battery from draining. - Nice and clean control interface: Easy to monitor real-time temperatures using the app via Bluetooth. The wireless range is impressive, too. - Power consumption is fine: I don't have precise numbers, but judging from the compact size of the provided power supply, it runs like standard electronics. Cons: - As I mentioned, the insulation is not that great! While the rapid cooling speed helps compensate, a standard passive icebox can maintain cold temperatures longer when powered off. One initial concern I had was the DC voltage, as newer Teslas use 16V outlets instead of traditional 12V plugs. Fortunately, this Euhomy handles 12-24V DC with no issues. Why and who should buy it: You should buy it if you need active, precise cooling rather than dealing with a traditional ice-filled chest. This fridge delivers fast, reliable results, and its relatively low power draw makes up for the average insulation. It guarantees a stable, ice-free cooling setup as long as it has power. I'd recommend it for people with medications that require stable, cold temperatures during outages or travel, commuters and long-distance grocery shoppers bringing home perishable items, and road trippers or campers looking for a great cooler powered directly by a car outlet or battery bank.

Overall: The Euhomy 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator plugs into your car’s 12V socket or a 110 outlet and keeps anything you put in it very cold. No ice needed, just power, and the thermoelectric system handles the rest. If you want a smaller cooler for two people or a small family for road trips or even for a campsite with electric hookups, this might be exactly what you need. Not having to worry about ice is an absolute game changer. I have been looking at these car refrigerators for a while, thinking they would be great for road trips and even short outings in the truck with my wife. This one turned out to be exactly what I hoped for. The Euhomy 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator is essentially a cooler with a thermoelectric system that keeps everything inside truly cold. Not slightly cool, but actually cold. I tested it in the truck using the 12V adapter and at home on a standard outlet, and it performed the same on both. The cooler looks good with its all black modern design and the cup holders on the lid. At first glance it looks like a regular cooler, but once you realize it is a functioning refrigerator, it stands out. There is a small raised section inside that does not chill, which is useful for storing its cords or anything that does not need cooling. Capacity is better than a traditional cooler since you are not losing space to ice. You can fit a family lunch, several sodas or whatever else you want to bring. It also includes a removable plastic container that works as a divider and an ice pack to help maintain temperature when the unit is not powered. We used it on a day trip and packed sandwiches, sodas, meat sticks, veggies and dips, and still had room left over . Temperature control ranges from room temperature down to below freezing. How well it holds that depends on the outside temperature, but if it is powered, your items will not get warm. Build quality is solid and operation is simple. There are only a few buttons for temperature and an on and off switch. No app, no WiFi, just straightforward controls that work.

Fantastic way to transport cold foods from the grocery store without the risk of melting ice cream till you get home. We use it on all grocery runs during the summer months and the Euhomy car cooler performs without issue. We also have another brand car plug in cooler from another brand and both coolers have identical chargers and the way they plug in. These coolers comes with a 12v cigarette plug and an option to be plugged into a regular outlet in your home. The Euhomy is easy to set to your desired temps and it will take anywhere from 10 min to 20+ min if you left the cooler sitting in a hot car to chill down to freezing temps. I love that the Euhomy has a dedicated spot inside to hold all the charging cables but do wish I had the larger 27qt size. 19qt size is fine for standard water bottles or cans but will not fit tall items like gallon milks or quart sized milks without laying them on the side. My larger cooler is 23qt and its nearly identical in length and width, the smaller 19qt is just shorter in overall height. The height I measured in the 19qt Euhomy is around 8.5” in depth. My larger 23qt measures at 12.5” in depth. At the end of the day, these coolers work fantastic and cools or freezes your foods without needing ice. Perfect from grocery runs to car camping. Add an aftermarket battery bank and you can be off grid with cold food and beverages.

Used the Euhomy on a recent trip to the beach and back and it worked really, really well. The sole reason to buy one of these things, imo, is either to bring food on a long road trip somewhere or use when camping. If you're just looking for a new cooler and thinking you *might* occasionally want the refrigeration option, then I'm not sure it's the best use of your money for reasons below. But again, road trips and camping seem like great ways to get maximum potential out of one of these. Plug it into your car's 12 volt and you're good to go. You can also plug it in to a standard wall jack when you get where you're going. I ran it on the 12 volt for a nearly six hour trip. Unplugged it when stopping for food and the cooler held the temp without dropping a single degree, even after thirty minutes while my car was parked in the midday August sun. Left it unplugged for a bit when we got to our destination and it seemed to warm about one degree an hour, which is not bad - especially if you're starting from a temp in the 30s. Things will stay cool for quite some time. (Euhomy claims 50 hours, but I haven't put that through its paces yet.) And again if you're going somewhere with easy access to an outlet - even if it's a place that has a full-sized fridge like the beach house I stayed at, it's still quite handy to have basically a mini-fridge in the house for throwing in drinks and getting them really cold for then taking out to the beach. All that said, I don't know that you want to take the Euhomy itself out on the beach. For starters, this is heavier than your average cooler, even nice one similar in size from a company like Yeti. Given there are electronics involved, I'd say keep it out of the sand and obviously out of the water altogether. I think these limitations are why this is specifically described as a "car refrigerator" and it should not be confused as just a fancy cooler. It's not that. And if you're in need of a fancy cooler, I'd probably recommend just buying a very nice cooler. The weight of the Euhomy even when empty makes it something you probably don't want to lug around just to go hang out in a friend's backyard. And the size of the interior may also disappoint if all you're in need of is something to stuff a ton of canned drinks into and keep cool. I wish it were a little larger on the inside, yet I wouldn't want one that's any heavier or with a larger exterior footprint. There's a bit of a tradeoff there. You can fit a milk carton in standing up, but it's going to push down on the top flap of the carton just a little. (See images). The car fridge comes with a plastic ice pack that has a built in slot in the center of the cooler. Very convenient, but also eats up some space. Long story short, you kind of have to plan accordingly due to the size and weight. Stacking things like frozen meats allows you to get a lot of food in the Euohmy. But if you're bringing drinks or things that need to stand up straight, then you could end up doing a bit of puzzle solving to fit everything in. And then you really gotta make sure the lid can still shut! All in all, my experience has been very positive. The app is simple and easy to use for remote setting of temps and keeping an eye on things without needing to be right beside the fridge. It works fantastic in the car and is not so big that it takes up more space than it's worth, imo. Do I wish it could somehow get a little lighter and fit a bit more on the interior? Sure. But it's not there yet. So, do the measurements and compare the cost of a traditional cooler and make sure this is the right one for you. If it is, then I think it's a great value and you'll appreciate having it.

Car refrigerators exist in a weird space. They’re usually too small and underpowered to be genuinely useful, and at a certain point you’re better off just using a cooler and ice packs to keep your food and drink cold. The Euhomy 21 Quart Portable Car Refrigerator tries to push beyond those limitations, offering full refrigerator or freezer capabilities through the same 12-volt DC (cigarette lighter) or home AC outlets that the weaker options use. The Euhomy does a fantastic job at being a refrigerator, but falls a little short in making that 21-quart rated capacity as useful as it could be. - Unboxing and Setup The first thing that surprised me with the Euhomy car refrigerator is just how big it is for its rated capacity. 21 quarts is about the size of a typical two-handled picnic cooler, but the Euhomy’s dimensions are much bigger than you’d expect. The reason is simple: unlike most car “refrigerators” that use a Peltier element (often used in those novelty 6-can desktop fridges you see around the holidays, to cool items to only a certain amount below ambient temperature), the Euhomy has a proper refrigeration circuit with compressor, radiator coils, and refrigerant to deliver true foodsafe, thermostat-controlled refrigeration. This means two things when it comes to setup and use…the size of the actual cooler compartment is smaller than the dimensions and box make it seem, and the weight distribution of the refrigerator is very lopsided when empty. Use care when picking this thing up since it’s surprisingly heavy to boot. Molded handles on each end give a good grip for picking up and moving short distances, while two molded loops on each side allow for a shoulder sling (not included) to carry longer and farther. Euhomy includes both an AC cable and a car adapter (12V DC) to use anywhere. Neither of the cables seem particularly high quality using thin wire and cheap transformers, but with a low operating power draw of under 65 watts they’ll do the job. - Cooling Performance This is where that proper refrigeration circuit pays off. The Euhomy goes from ambient to chilling everything in the cooler so rapidly that it almost doesn’t seem possible, until I realized the cooling circuit is oversized for the application. The entire bottom and most of the height of the sides of the cooler are a single heat-radiating piece of the refrigeration circuit, and these get absolutely frigid within a minute of the A/C circuit powering on. Filling the cooler to capacity with room-temperature (78F for this test) beverages and setting it to max, I found Euhomy’s 40-minute rapid cooling advertising might be an understatement as every beverage was fridge-cold (36F), or as near as makes no difference, after just half an hour. The thick walls and insulation of the Euhomy do a great job keeping things cool as well. After unplugging the refrigerator in the same scenario and letting it sit overnight, I found my beverages were still quite cold and refreshing as when I left them…maybe ever so slightly warmer, but I wasn’t complaining on that hot day all the same. I think the Euhomy could hold foodsafe temperatures without power for at least 12 hours if you keep the lid closed, but I probably wouldn’t push anywhere near their advertised 40+. The best surprise was just how quiet the Euhomy is even at full power. I had to put my ear right up against the refrigeration circuit to feel or hear the A/C circuit running even on its highest setting. Impressive stuff. - Ease of Use, Versatility The small function display on the right side of the cooler is pretty basic, showing current temperature (Fahrenheit by default, thankfully) with up/down temperature adjustment buttons and a Settings button alongside power. The Settings button was difficult to understand how to use and interpret at first, as the Euhomy alternates through a couple vague options by slowly flashing them on the display. I got what I needed after a couple attempts but it could’ve been a little clearer what each option means without needing to refer to the manual. My biggest disappointment with the Euhomy (and the biggest reason for knocking a star off) is that the cooled space is just poorly shaped. A 21-quart storage capacity implies that gallon-size containers should be able to fit within the refrigerator, but standing these upright and trying to close the lid shows the Euhomy is a literal inch too short. This was a huge disappointment for me as I really wanted to have a portable fridge that could store a gallon of milk, but I will need to settle for quart-size containers at best. I did note that the cooler holds exactly 30 12-oz beverage cans when laid on their side. Use that as you will for tailgating needs…I can see using the cooler to store meats and cheeses on the ride in, then using it to rapidly cool your adult beverages once the grill’s going. - Bottom Line If you need proper refrigeration on the go or in more remote spaces from the kitchen, the Euhomy 21 Quart Portable Car Refrigerator does the job well. Despite the size constraints limiting its ability to replace a proper mini-fridge, the powerful cooling is impressive and the insulation keeps up, all while being quiet as can be and sipping energy. I feel some of the insulation could have been shored up to let the interior compartment better fit tall bottles and jugs, and would recommend a larger model with the same cooling circuit to meet those needs. At an MSRP of $160, I’d say it’s fairly priced given the form factor and versatility versus a traditional mini-fridge that won’t insulate or cool as rapidly as this. If it fits your needs, then this comes recommended!

It is always hot and people must carry water or beverage when traveling about to stay hydrated. Also, camping, hunting and fishing plays a big part of the culture in the Southwest. Coolers feeled with ice are the norm for most of the travelers. The Euhomy - 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator – Black changes that dynamic. Now, there is no need to buy bags of ice to keep food and beverage cold, I just plug in to my car’s dirent cuurent port and the Euhomy begins the refridgeration process. The two modes of refridgeration work differently. The Max mode worked faster the Eco node at reducing temparature. At Max mode, the temperature lowers quickly from 73 degrees to –4 degrees within two hours. At Eco mode, it took several hours for the temperature to reduce from 77 degrees to –4 degress. It took overnight for Eco mode to freeze the water filled divider. While on Max mode, the water filled divider freezed water in about eight hours. The setting functions are giving me some trouble. When I try to set the Euhomy at a specific temperature, it flashes, but then returns back to its original default temperature. I have not figured out how to lock in a new temperature. The instructions are simple to understand so I must be working it wrong. Ice does appear on the inside walls of the Euhomy after a few hours at –4 degrees. The Euhomy is not too heavy to carry to my vehicle to place in the rear. Traveling now with the Euhomy - 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator – Black, I can quench my thirst with a cold beverage and prepare me a fresh meal outside my home with freshly kept food inside my Euhomy.

The thought of never having to use ice again drove me to give the Euhomy 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator a try. We go camping, take day trips to the lake, and attend softball tournaments where we like to have a cooler of drinks for those hot summer days. When we first received it, I noticed how lopsided the weight was. It's very heavy on the compressor side, but once you fill the other side with beverages and food, it balances out. You have to weigh the options: a bag of 8-pound ice over your drinks, which melts and leaves a pool of water, or an 8-pound compressor with no mess and no fuss of adding ice. My first task was to see how cold I could get this Euhomy 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator. I plugged it into a home outlet and set it for 0 degrees. It took a good 45 minutes to get to 0 degrees, which I thought was pretty good in my 78-degree house. I also filled the middle divider with water to see if that would freeze at that temperature. Nope, you definitely have to pre-freeze that divider before use. Once it got to 0 degrees, I threw in some ice cream bars. I checked them after a half hour, and they were still as frozen as when I put them in. I then moved the fridge to my car with the windows open on a 90-degree day. I plugged it in with the included 12-volt plug, and the temperature immediately rose to 18 degrees. It struggled for a while to get back down but stopped at 5 degrees, which still kept my ice cream frozen. If it gets cold enough to keep ice cream frozen, I wasn't worried about trying beverages. I'm sure it can keep them cold at around 33 degrees. I am torn on the effectiveness of this cooler. Yes, the power of cooling without ice is amazing, but the room you give up because of the motor is a little discouraging. It's perfect for the car on road trips to keep some water, soda, and snacks cool, but I don't think it's useful enough for more than a day trip. Keep in mind, you couldn't take this camping for 3 or 4 days and expect to keep all the food you need refrigerated. You would definitely need a bigger one of these for those trips. For just drinks, you can get about 11 cans and 8 waters with the ice divider. Without it, you could add 5 or 6 more cans or bottles of water. It does say to leave gaps so there is good airflow for everything to get cold. It also has a little side tray to store a couple of bananas or small apples, or even a couple of candy bars to keep them cool on a hot day. The display is pretty straightforward. There are power and mode buttons and an up/down toggle for setting the temperature. I wish the LED temperature display was red to make it easier to see against the black background. The app is useful for keeping track of the temperature without having to go look at the display on the cooler. You can power it on and off, control the temperature, switch to Eco or Max Cooling, and change the battery usage settings. The plug port is located in a hard-to-reach area. It's at the very bottom of the cooler, with a flap that flips up to make it even harder to get to the plug. It does say it is okay to operate at a 35-degree angle, so it should be okay to tilt it up about 12 inches to get to the plug. I just wish they would have put the plug in an easier-to-reach location. Overall, I like the idea of having a refrigerator that doesn't require ice, and it does a great job of keeping things cold. For day trips, road trips, and keeping drinks and snacks cold in the car, I think it works well. For longer camping trips, though, I would recommend going with a larger model.

The Euhomy 21 QT Portable Car Refrigerator is a great device to use on the go. It’s great for keeping bottled water, sodas, juices, deli meat, and all other types of food. The product comes well packaged and no assembly is required. Inside of the refrigerator is a cooling pack that you fill with water, that you can freeze and help keep things cooler inside. It comes with a standard AC outlet adapter for plugging up into a standard outlet, and it also comes with a DC outlet adapter for plugging up into 12V cigarette outlets. The refrigerator does not pull too much power, which allowed me to plug it into my portable Jackery battery power station as an option. The app they included with it works very well. I was able to download it to my phone and had it working in no time. It had no issues finding and paring the refrigerator to the app. In the app I’m able to adjust the temperature, refrigeration mode and more. The top of the refrigerator has slots for you to place can sodas or cups for tailgating. The refrigerator does have some weight to it. If you plan on having the refrigerator near your vehicle it won’t be too much of a problem, but it you plan on using it quite a distance from your vehicle you may want to put it on a portable rolling device. Overall, I’m very happy with this refrigerator.

We take a few road trips through the year so this electric cooler caught my attention. It's not big but it's not small. The package comes complete with an electric home plug and a cigarette lighter plug. The top cover is interchangeable for convenience. I was impressed that the unit is Bluetooth compatible and can easily be controlled with your mobile phone. It has three different settings, from refrigerator to freezer to eco. It also comes with a freezer pack that fills with water to keep things cold when the unit is not on. The temperature can also be modified from freezing to cold. We recently took the electric cooler on a three hour road trip. We placed some mini soda cans and water bottles. The electric cooler did not disappoint, the drinks were cold throughout the trip. It came in handy as it was a hot day. The other party that traveled with us were relieved we had cold drinks to stay hydrated. Overall this is great electric cooler to take on camping trips and road trips. You won't have to worry about buying ice.

Bought this for more refrigerator space while camping. It works well, it's a real refrigerator, not a peltier junction device, so it will actually cool items down not just keep them cool. As a bonus, it fits perfectly in the sub-trunk of a Tesla model Y at 1/4 the price of others. Uses less than 1% of the Tesla battery per 24 hours.

First of all, It's so nice to have a cooler and don't have to buy ice! This thing can get cold so fast! It goes from 77 F to 32F in about 15 min! I was skeptical in the beginning, but I thought I would return it if it didn't meet my expectations! I really like to use the app to control the cooler. There's an ice pack included in case you can't plug it to your car or to an outlet. My wife and I went to Park City to see the meteor shower and we plugged this cooler to our car and it worked so well! When we got back home we forgot to remove the food from the cooler, and I woke up on the next day and opened the cooler and the food was still cold! If it was a normal cooler, the ice would have melted and the food would be soaked in water and it would have gone bad too! I also like to use this cooler in my office as a mini fridge to put water and soda, it's so quiet e convenient!
