Great sensor for Automations!

The Eve Motion sensor is a great addition to our home. This sensor allowed us to create even more seamless automations by just walking down our stairs in the mornings. We don’t have to flip on light switches, or tell Siri to turn anything on... our automations run completely on their own in the background, enhancing our daily routines. As all Eve products, this motion sensor was a breeze to setup! There is an option to mount it to the wall, but we decided just to have it sit on a ledge in our stairwell. I’m very excited to set up an automation to turn on our Christmas tree when my daughter walks down the stairs in the morning!

Bottom line: except for price, Eve devices are the best. Specifically, this sensor is solidly built (though it’s also quite a bit larger than many other manufacturers’ devices). It’s extremely easy to setup and works well with HomeKit. It works well and the batteries are common and inexpensive.

Its battery Powered and works with Apple Home ! You need an Apple Hub which can be a couple of items to fully get the usefulness of this device ! One feature I use is when I am gone, the sensor will send me notice of movement in its range !
So far I am on my first set of batteries and I have used it for over three months !

The product is very easy to set up. I can now automatically turn on the light automatically when I walk into the house after sunset.

This really is a novel way to drive automation. The Eve product line seems very well designed. I am looking forward to use it to automate several Homekit devices based on motion and time of day.

Works some of the time. It can work fine for a month or so, then after making no changes to the setup it stops recognizing motion. I can’t figure out why it stops working, nor have I figured out how to fix it. So at this point it is not dependable.
