Very happy I was able to find this CD at such a great price and have it shipped so quickly. I will definitely be buying more Jack's Mannequin CD's.

I wanted this album because the song Dark Blue is on it; turns out it also had a couple other of their songs I like! :)

This CD was written while the lead signer Andrew McMahon struggled with cancer. Every song has its own feel to it, and for the most part each song embodies his emotional journey through his old girlfriend, Kelly, his hometown in California or his life-threatening disease. Every upbeat song allows you to feel like you are in California on a sunny day. You just feel alive listening to his creative lyrics. "Holidays From Real" and "The Mixed Tape" are some fan favorites that open the album with a laid back feel. The darker tracks on this album tend to move you as well. "Rescued" is the only song on the album that really takes it down a notch to a real emotional level, while tracks like "Bruised" and "Kill the Messanger" have the atmosphere of a downer song, but make you feel joy listening. Fans of Andrew's old band may notice a resembalance to his Something Corporate track "She Paints Me Blue" in one of the best tracks on the album "Dark Blue". "La La Lie" is a pop anthem that must be heard as it ranges from a simply catchy guitar rift to harmonica's, organ's and a chorus of band members humming along to a lyric you may find yourself singing along with in short time. While I may not be covering every song on the album in detail, the remaining tracks could be claimed as some of my favorites. The album simply does not follow a pop/emo tag that is generally associated with Something Corporate. Everything In Transit covers the bases on every genre of rock in one fluid album that is definately worth a listen. If you are anything like me, it will grow into one of your favorite albums to listen to in the summertime.

I love this CD so much. Andrew McMahon's voice and lyrics are amazing. Every song stands on its own; there isn't a single one I would skip over. Even though it's been a while since the album was released, I still find myself listening to it frequently. I can't wait until Jack's releases new music!
