    This thing is a bit more quiet than the old Seasonic X-series it replaced. Comes with a 10 Year warranty. Power supply is completely modular. The cables are all black and sleeved. Cables are a good length and are a bit stiff. The power cable to the motherboard was a very tight fit. Also comes with a tester.

    EVGA has a reputation for making good computer products. I did tons of research about power supplies before finally making a decision. The one thing that stuck out to me the most was to not cut corners with a bad power supply. Spend a little extra money for peace of mind with a product that will last years, and do a good job of protecting your expensive gear. I heard all of the above about EVGA power supplies, and going with a Platinum means squeezing out almost every drop of saving energy you can. It also comes with an ECO mode switch that will cause the fan only to run when needed (vs. all the time). Oh btw, it's very cool that it is modular, which means you only use the cords you need (no more dealing with a mass of cords that don't get used). Each cord is labeled for where it plugs in and the instructions are simple and clear (doesn't hurt to look up a Yotube video if you're new to it, though). I currently run an i7-6700K and GTX 1070 with it and I have room to upgrade with this 750W.
