Listen, I'm not going to bore you with my review of the GeForce GTX 970; there are already many of those (With many benchmarks) available online. Anyway, this card is simply gorgeous! As a huge Fallout fan, I HAD to have this. It's essentially an EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0 (Stands for Super Super Clocked, because one "Super" isn't enough, and spelling "Extreme" with an "E" is too mainstream, LOL, and Active Cooling eXtreme 2.0) with a super awesome Fallut 4 Vault Boy-themed backplate. Plus, it's $10 cheaper than the NVIDIA Blower Style (AKA "Reference") GeForce GTX 970 and EVGA's identical Geaforce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0 variant, but with a really cool backplate! Other than that, you get everything that comes with any other EVGA GPU, so you'll be able to get up and running out of the box! All in all, it's a great step up from my EVGA GeForce GTX 560 (If I remember correctly, might be Ti) Duke Nukem Edition, and the Vault Boy on the back is a huge plus! Buy it if you can find one in store, my Best Buy only got one (Thanks for holding the one for me!), they'll for sure go quick! Happy vault exploring!

Returned my EVGA 970 Model: 04G-P4-3979-KB SKU: 2496109 Becuse they are horrible rebranding of the first Gen of this card they have bad headsinks and cant overclock . This Card is THE REAL EVGA 970 2nd gen it has the correct heat plate power adaptors and duel bios switch this is the Card you want to buy and the best part is you get a free backplate (20.00) from EVGA This card overclocks like a champ the only thing special about this card is the artwork on the backplate. I cant stress this enough this card is an overclocking beast and is the best Bang for your Buck in GPU hardware !!!!!

I'm not a huge gamer, but I am a hardware fanatic. I'd been eyeing the GTX 970 for quite some time, as I knew I would need a newer and better graphics card in order to play Fallout 4. Once the game was released, I began shopping, and found this card available locally. While the price was a little higher than other GTX 970's I found on the web, the Fallout 4 graphic print really set this one apart and justified the cost difference. Plus getting it locally and not waiting for the mail was a huge plus for me, as I got that instant satisfaction and ability to play the game that day. Overall, the card plays Fallout 4 like a BEAST on my system! I run at 2560x1080p (21:9), other hardware is i7-4790k, 16GB RAM, SSD. I see it steadily run at 60FPS with everything turned up to Ultra, rarely going below 45FPS. I upgraded from a GT 730, a $65 card that only ran the game at 16-18FPS with everything set on lowest setting, hence the reason for the upgrade. And what an upgrade! I also hear NO coil whine whatsoever! And I've never heard the fans kick on either, so it's a fairly quiet card as well!

This GTX 970 is amazing! After reviewing many reviews and checking sales on similar cards, I decided to opt for the special edition Fallout 4 970 by EVGA. This is the second EVGA card I have purchased (the first was a GTX 660Ti 3GB) and have been pleased so far. I was running Fallout 4 on medium settings with the previous card and thought it was time for a upgrade. I am not disappointed with this card at all. It can run Fallout 4 on ultra settings with out a glitch. The construction is solid and the back-plate is a nice addition. If you are looking for a great card at a somewhat reasonable cost, then you should look no more and go for it.

I'm really glad I decided to drive far away to a Best Buy to pick up this special edition Fallout 4 GTX Card! Ultra settings on every game & 60 FPS! Couldn't ask for more! They don't even sell this anymore "The Graphic Plate" anyways... So i'm hoping its gonna have good resale value for when I buy the Titan 1080! :P I Would Recommend ANY GTX 960+ and up! They are all great cards and I love EVGA's Fan monitoring software! Tells me CPU TEMP , GPU TEMP, FAN SPEED, and Fan speed %.. All customizable by the way! And it links right to your LCD Logitech keyboard if your lucky enough to have one.. I can track my temps and play Fallout with pleasure! :)

I have a older pc, that is able to play any of the newer games now with this card. They really did their homework on this one, it runs QUIET and very cool during hours of use. The 3.5gb issue has not been a issue (at 1080 or 4k)...I have been playing fallout 4 on it :). This is a revised card NOT a repackaged 970 1.0 as some rumors have said.

I bought Fallout 4 but required a better video card. I bought this one as it was the 'official' card. Fitted it in to my pc with no problems, drivers updated to latest version and all my games are lightning fast now. I think every game now runs on maximum quality. A must for gamers

Finally decided to get a 970 when I seen this version. Comes with a really nice back plate and runs all my games on Ultra. If you see this one you need to buy it. My store only had one on the shelf at the time. Like some of the other reviews said buy this!!!!

Yes, I got this partially because of the fallout backplate, but also because I wanted an upgrade from my 670. This card runs cool, and never goes about 74c under any load for me, even benchmarking. Highly recommend!

The board looks great and works better. Brand new games run really well, and you get a free game with purchase. Expensive, but worth it if you've got the scratch.

My son downloaded fallout 4 and was disappointed because it was very laggy. He got this for Christmas and boy is the game different!!! No more lag!! Very fast and smooth!! He's so happy now!!

With this card I can run all of my games with max settings, plus it comes with a free game. I love this card and it's top notch to date, definitely a good purchase.

It's a GTX 970. Decent card as you would expect from EVGA. My main complaint is that the back plate which is what you are basically paying extra for is poorly painted it would appear that they just took a stock backplate and plastered on the logo. Mine actually has some small chips from when I removed it from the plastic packaging. Under the paint, I can see that the paint is just the regular paint that the backplate would normally come in. Wich to me seems like this backplate was an after thought that someone thought up after the fact just to bake a few extra bucks. Never the less would still recommend as long as you are careful when removing it from the packaging because it looks better than no backplate at all and being fallout themed is a plus for fans of the game.

For the family of the GTX 970 cards, this card is really good. It keeps cool idle temperatures and is really fast. Of course GTX 980 and up cards will be better, but if you want a good card for less and wondering which of the 970 cards to get, this is one of the best for 970. I would also recommend using MSI Afterburner for fan control and other features instead of the EVGA PrecisionX 16 software. I had all kinds of troubles with PrecisionX 16 in windows 10 but haven't had any problems with MSI Afterburner.

Really nice card and fallout on it was a plus. Plays all my games on high.

I bought a GTX960 first, with the intent of playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate ... it was just ok... not fantastic FPS... took it back and went with this BEAST and BAM!!! 55-60FPS with max settings... LOVE it!!

It looks really nice but on a closed case like mine, is not worth the extra bucks for the plate, just buy a regular SSC. The reason i got was that I had a gift card and the card I wanted wasn't available. But overall I'd a gooday card, not too strong for 4k monitors, perfect for 1080p!

This video card plays everything I throw at it without any problems

Upgraded from gtx 760 3gb. Strong 1080p 60fps performance on every game i can throw at it. SLI capability to add a second gtx 970 for my 1440p 144Hz monitor. Using msi afterburner to overclock.

Its the same as the standard EVGA 970 GPU you would normally get but the Pip-boy back plate is a nice touch for Fallout fans
