This is a well built card but the performance/dollar ratio is lesser than the TI edition. Never the less this GFX card works well and handles most new games @ 1080/~60FPS very well on max settings.

1080ti aka gaming perfected. Literally the fastest card on the market. Expect minimum 60fps at all times on 1080p and even 1440p cranked to max. This card will handle anything you throw at it. Very satisfied user, highly recommend.

FIRST OFF - I'd recommend anyone who is interested in the 1080ti to WAIT for board partners to release their versions of the card with better cooling. The ONLY reason I'd recommend the Founders Edition blower-style cards is if you plan on watercooling OR you have a system with restricted airflow where the blower-style exhausting hot air out of the case is more beneficial. With that being said... the card is obviously great. It's a MUCH bigger upgrade then when I went from a 980ti to a 1080. My 980ti overclocked could MATCH my 1080 at stock. That's not the case with the 1080 VS 1080ti. Even with my 1080 clocked at 2297Mhz on the core, (volt modded and watercooled) it can't match the 1080ti at stock. IF you plan on getting the Founders Edition and you DON'T plan on watercooling I'd suggest setting a custom fan curve in EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner. These cards are restricted to 50% max fan speed out of box and by setting a custom curve to allow for 80% max fan speed you'll get an extra 5%+ performance and keep the thermals under 75c, (vs 84c it'll run at if you don't set a custom fan curve). With the fan running at 70-80% it's definitely audible but in no way is it disruptive. It kind of sounds like an AC unit running in a separate room, like a low hum. But again, I'd buy a board partner 1080ti for better cooling if you're only going to rely on air cooling. As far as overclocking - your mileage will vary. Most people should have ZERO issue maintaining 1900-2000mhz on the core if you set the fan curve to allow up to 80% max and bump up the Power Limit to 120%, (using EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner). I haven't received my waterblock yet so I can't confirm max overclocks under water but I'd guess most would see between 2000-2100mhz on the core. Should be similar overclocking potential to the 1080 and better than the Titan X, (mid 2016 variant). TLDR: If you game at 1440p or higher AND you're in the market for a graphics card AND you have a budget of $700+ AND you can't wait for board partner varients then yes, buy this. It's a great card and even though it's $700 it's a pretty good value for performance that'll last you years to come. If you game at 1080p, (even panels 120hz+) and have NO plan to upgrade your monitor to 1440p or greater in the next year then I'd save a few hundred and buy the 1080 instead, maybe even a 1070 or 1060 if you game at 60hz. PS:TLDR: Can't stress this enough - unless you have need of the Blower Style cooler OR plan to watercool WAIT for the board partner variants with better cooling.

Best GPU And Pricing From Nvidia

It's simple, the card is all "that's it cracked up to be". The card doubles the performance of my 980 King Pins without breaking a sweat. Despite the power of the King Pins, they sometimes had a problem playing ALL 4k context smoothly .. not so this card, ALL 4k content plays smoothly in any format i.e. video and gaming. This is probably the best value/performance until the "next big deal" is released by Nvidia.

although i 100 % believe that we are getting closer and closer to switching to 4k gaming but the standard gtx 1080 is nowhere near close to the gtx 1080 ti the ti is amazing i can almost play any game at 4k with a smooth 60 fps with the gtx 1080 it barely hits 40 fps thats all i have to say
