Great Entry-Level Card

- This is a great entry level card for light gaming or every day use. (Will play most last-gen games maxed out. E.G.: Far Cry 2, Cod 4, Flight Simulator X, Forza 3.)
-This card comes with a low-profile bracket if you have a SFF (small form factor pc)
-Performance is comparable to the Nvidia GT610-630 line of graphics cards.
-For the price this card is an absolute steal! (you get what you pay for though. It's not a high end card, though it does perform well#
-Installed easily into a PCI x16 slot
-No additional power connector required
-The wattage rating for this card is 300W however, it runs fine on my 250W system. #It's not like performance bottlenecking is going to occur on a low end card)

Great low cost card for media PC / everyday use

Purchased to replace an onboard graphics for use in a media PC with a HDTV. Onboard could not handle Blu-ray playback even with HDMI. Easy to install, with the exception of the VGA port being too close to the case, was a bit of a struggle to get the VGA cable onto the card. Not too much of an issue as the HDMI will be used most of the time. Only hooked up the VGA for installation. I had already downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers and did not install from the CD included.
This card does not require an additional power source, a plus for anyone upgrading and older PC. Is PCI-E 1.x compatible.
I highly recommend this card for everyday use and media playback. I would not recommend this card for higher end gaming. Always do your homework and get your reviews and card stats from multiple sources.
Rated OVERALL as a 4 because it is not a higher end card. If I were to rate this card for everyday and media use it would be a 5.

GeForce GT 520

The GeForce GT 520 was received in good condition and easy to install. I have a built in video card so when I removed cover to desktop there were two plugs for video. Now I can choose from HP desktop video card or GEForce GT. Just depends on placement of cable. In some computer built video installation instructional video it does not state dealing with built in video cards. In this case I own a HP desktop with the video card built in. There are several placement areas to install video cards, memory cards and sound cards. Be sure to use a magnetic demagnetizer braclet before opening and closing desktop computer module. Before buying specify and call dealer whether it is compatible with system: MAC or PC. Work in a clean area free of dust and other particles. Do not touch gold tabs or connectors on video card.
The graphics are sharper and lines clearer. Check compatiblity for gaming.

Not what it says it is

The card is not as advertised. It says plainly that it is 1400 core clock speed when in reality it is only 810. Not cool if you were expecting an upgrade and instead get a down grade...
